Facilitated a needed break!

The Nugget was a gem. I needed a break and the jet tub with room service did the trick! Will definately recommend to family & friends.

Great Stay...Very Nice

The hotel is great for a business stay - cheaper and nicer than your standard hilton/marriot/etc. The restaurants are very good. The casino was nice - although I did not gamble. They had a free "Smooth Jazz" concert one night that was free at one of the restaurants. The only negative is the hotel borders the train switching yard. That can be noisy. But other than that - I highly recommend this hotel...

Nice hotel

The stay was comfortable. The rooms were clean. There were more than 1,000 people for the conference at the hotel. While the restaurants had a long wait because of the crowd, the food was fine too. I will go back to the hotel, if I go back to Reno.

Smoky Nugget

The room, which was supposed to be non-smoking, was still very smoky. The smoke from the casino permeates the entire hotel. I felt like I was smoking a pack a day just staying there. Otherwise, not expensive and a reasonable room.

Nice Room with 42" flat screen monitor, friendly, helpfull staff and a nice casino

We loved our recent trip to Reno and staying at the Nuggett made it even more enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The room was very nice with the most comfortable mattress that I have every slept on. I am looking foward to my next trip back to Reno.

Slow Reception desk

We were so surprised to find only 2 people at the Reception on a Saturday at 2:45 PM and again only 3 on Sunday for 11 AM check-out. The wait there was disappointing, second only to the eternity it took to get our car from the valet parking. If it were not for this, the overall satisfaction would have been 4. Thank you.

Traveler's tip

Prepare for a lot of smokers in all the public areas and in the casinos. This is quite unpleasant for non-smokers, and it shortened our stay and our gambling.

Very Nice....I

I was scared at first, but overall it was very nice. Nice clean room, very nice bathroom. Very clean Hotel, very well kept up. Very Nice...I would definitely recommend this Hotel to others. Although we did not get room service. Our menu was missing from the room & it took a little while for them to come up and by the time they did I was ready to go to sleep pretty much :-) but other then that the place is GREAT!!

reasonable Reno option

Stayed here on a trip through Reno because the downtown motels were booked. The motel was fine. The buffet was disappointing and overpriced for its offerings. The casino also had more smokers than we would see downtown.

Very Impressed...

The East Tower was recently remodeled...fantastic job. The room was great...especially bed and plenty of thick fluffy pillows. Shower was nice to have real towels...not the one you can see through... Would highly recommend...

Great place to stay

We have stayed at this hotel twice now and been completely satisfied both times. The rooms are very clean, beds comfortable and everything in the room worked perfectly. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We will make sure to pass through here everytime we head north. And we will definatly stay at this hotel every time.

Traveler's tip on dining

There is a great variety of dining options on site. We tried two of them and was completely satisfied with both. Can’t wait to try them all out.

Better than expected

This was my first stay at the Nugget and went with the knowledge of good reviews and reasonable prices. I was impressedd with the size of the facility and the dinning choices. What really won me over was the quality of the people and their customer service. The buffet was excellent. The seafood was fresh and well prepared. I will be back..

The Nugget is not Fool’s Gold -- it’s the Real Deal!

Stayed on the 10th floor as the result of a killer deal that I found through the Expedia toll-free hotline. We were a little desperate to find a room on the day of our arrival. Hotel prices in the area were priced WAYYY out of our range. We wanted to stay for 3 nights. Tried to use the Blackberry to access Expedia.com website but to no avail. However, the toll free number that was displayed on the site was a god-send. We called it up and found the Nugget and their killer rate! Our room faced north, had two comfortable queen beds, not much on the cable TV, a radio/alarm clock, Internet access cost $11 (which you would think would be a free amenity -- but the room was a killer deal)and a cool pool on an atrium level. They opened the roof panels on the breezy summer evenings while we were there and the full moon peeked through at us as we swam to our heart’s content. Spent and lost about a buck-twenty in the casino, didn’t eat there, enjoyed a Starbucks there the morning we checked out, the crowd was subdued (we stayed from Saturday thru Monday evening) and probably the most exciting of all was the time we spent in the arcade with my three sons. We must’ve hung out there for at least 3 hours. Overall, a comfortable and exciting time for a great, great rate -- thanks Expedia!

Rooms were nice, but the trains were not!

I stayed in the recently updated east wing. The room was nice, but the trains next to it wasn’t. I would be awaken about every hour because of the train brake sound, or the fact that they were adding more cars on. Next time I’ll make sure I get a room on the opposite side. The pool was nice, but way too cold for an indoor pool. My kids didn’t even want to stay in it that long.

Stay in the East Tower rooms

The East Tower rooms are beautiful and you melt like butter in their beds. The hotel staff were friendly, check in was very slow but the East Tower rooms are worth the wait. Plenty of good places to eat with in the hotel. Will stay here again.

Local phone calls COST...

Not a big deal, but wish I had been told local calls cost $1. We used 1-800 phone cards to call lots of folks..thinking we were calling for free. Uh uh! Had a zillion dollar phone tab for using the phone. Wish we had known. Otherwise, a very nice casino/hotel to stay in. DO NOT stay in the motor lodge, as it is old and dingy. We made that mistake last time.
