good recommendation
very nice, clean, and modern hotel in nice location. a little far from the action but walkable or public transport nearby (metro, tour buses, etc). very polite staff
Traveler's tip on local attractions
I recommend the "on and off" tour bus which takes you everywhere and you can get on our off on your own schedule as they come every 15 minutes. Be prepared for extreme heat in Rome. Nice cafe with friendly staff right across street and down one block and two excellent restaurants just around the corner (turn left coming out of the hotel and take first left). We particularly enjoyed watching the folks wander in and out of the bath house next to the cafe across the street....

Great hotel, OK location
The hotel was clean, the bathroom was large compared to other European bathrooms, and its in a quiet area. Its walking distance to the Republica Metro (maybe a 5-10 minute stroll), and to the Termini Station (10-20min) so you can take the train from the airport and just walk to the hotel. Dont pay for the internet (its 5 euros for three days but it takes that long to load a webpage). Id recommend this hotel but if you like staying out late, youre better off at a different location. The metro (which does NOT run 24 hours) is close by but it doesnt really go towards the center of the city. You should learn the bus system if you want to go towards the Pantheon area, Piazza Navona, or Trastavere.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Buy a Roma Pass which (includes a 3 day metro card and tickes to 2 major attractions like the Colosseum and the Forum). Its also worth booking your tickets ahead of time so you dont have to wait in long lines to buy them (you can do this for the Vatican Museum for example and for the Borghese Gallery which requires a reservation to get into).
