The hotel was filthy and chaotic. Cleaning had clearly been superficial only and each corner was damp and dirty, giving you the sense that something was either growing or breeding there. The water in the coffee maker was stagnant. Light bulbs had not been replaced. There was no natural light in one of the rooms. The room and bathroom design was another health and saftety hazard. My wife and daughter hit their heads. While linen was clean the pillows smelled of bed head. And Wi-Fi was poor. It was like Faulty Towers. In the spirit of Faulty Towers, the staff were really friendly and seemed to take the chaos in their stride. The location is fantastic - had the beds been comfortable and had there been windows for air and light, then maybe it would have been worth it. But it was beyond uncomfortable - an affront to the senses and frankly unhealthy and dangerous. The saving grace was the gym across the street which was light, bright, well-equipped with a great cafe with healthy food and excellent Wi-Fi. The hotel has a deal with them where you pay 5 euros to train for 1.5 hours then you can hang out there in comfort and use Wi-Fi. Great coffee and restaurants nearby too.
