Black Duck Birthday stay

Overall the house has great potential but we were SO VERY disappointed . While the location is nice and the amenities are plenty the house is lacking attention and upkeep. The porches/furniture and house is filthy- covered in mold, pollen and spider webs. The couches inside are well loved and the leather is down to threads in several spots. Chunks of the wood floor have been broken and not repaired and the lightning and ceiling fans do not work properly. We also reported an issue with A/C and despite the leasing agent looking into it- was never fixed and we dealt with a house that was about 78* during summer. Positives- wonderful, quiet neighborhood. Lovely clubhouse/pool/tennis courts and water access for kayaking/fishing.

Great house for our stay in the area. The community was beautiful. House was well equipped with everything we needed. Check-in and out was simple. Beds were compfy.

Good Thanksgiving stay

Good stay overall, minor issues coffee maker, toaster, roku remote. Otherwise good overall Thanksgiving stsy.

Perfect Mini Vacation

This was my nephews wedding weekend in New Bern, a lovely weekend it was. My son, his fiancée, my sister, brother-in-law and myself stayed here. Everything was in working order and neat. What was perfect was the large front and back porches, the quiet serene setting and the friendly neighbors. I have a high stress job and this was exactly what I needed to decompress. I hope to come back soon!

Great place for a family

The area is very rural. Great get away from the hustle and bustle. The ferry ride to Ocean Isle was great. The town of Oriental is a quaint nice little town. We enjoyed the Brewery and talking to the locals!
