"What a disappointment. We didn’t last 24 hours and here’s why: Once the small supply of peat turf and kindling for the fireplace was gone, there was no heat at all! The old outdated radiators never got warm. No welcome booklet or directions, only marketing materials for her other properties. No hooks to hang your coats. No closet. Only a few tiny drawers for clothes—with those drawers in the open-space living/dining room, no less. No trash receptacles outside which was really concerning. Where do we keep our trash? Inside? no place to even set our toiletries. The only shower was outdoors—impossible during inclement weather or after dark. Poor lighting inside, inadequate for reading a book. Only one couch for us both to sit on. One night in Cobblestone Cottage, and we couldn’t wait to leave. We had to scramble to find someplace new. This mistake cost us well over 1500. Worst VRBO experience ever. "

"The cottage was perfect, in a gorgeous area of wild Donegal. Easy walk to a couple of small beaches. Nice shop and pub a few minutes car ride away. The house was cozy and clean, with everything we needed. Anne had let us know that there was a sudden problem with the central heat, and the work needed to be done to fix it would have had the plumber there during our stay, and she didn’t want us bothered. The house was warm enough, and we made a fire in the evenings in the wood stove. Anne actually refunded us a discount for the inconvenience. Not necessary (it was mild temps), but a generous gesture from a good host. Would return in a heartbeat if in the area"
