The hotel is in a nice area that I know well, so I booked a room for my wife and son. The hotel seemed nice enough and was worth the price. That is until my wife and son woke up with roaches crawling all over them They took pictures and rang the front desk. They never got an answer. They packed up and went down to the front desk to be greeted by the receptionist's/ manager's daughter. She was eating a plate full of food and said her mom had gone to the bathroom. My wife mentioned the roaches and the girl said "Oh yeah, room 363 had a problem with roaches too.". It took over 10 minutes for.the receptionist to return to the desk and seemed less than receptive. Surly and rude. Casually brushed off the roach situation and had no explanation for the phone not being answered. Said she'd email someone about it, but my wife insisted for contact details and for her to send it now and CC her on it. She said she'd send it and do so, but either never sent it or copy her on it. We still have yet to see a response after 2 days. The manager was very indifferent and seemed bothered. Coughed all over the paper she'd written the contact info on, so my wife had to take a picture of it. Petty, but the lady seemed sick. Then we were gifted with roaches in our luggage when they arrived home. Needless to say, breakfast was a hard pass. Area is nice, but hotel is nightmarishly infested and staff was rude at best. We travel to Austin frequently and this is unacceptable.
