“We didn’t know what to expect but were very happy with our stay at the Rex. It’s very clean, modern, great design and has an excellent indoor/outdoor onsen up on the top floor with an amazing ocean view. We loved that you had to take your shoes off at the entrance of the large and lovely lobby floor and go to our room in slippers. And there are also great public onsen nearby. Parking was included and there was a lot of parking spots very close to the entrance.”

“El hotel no es 5 estrellas, ni nada por el estilo. El personal no habla inglés, pero llegando te da unas hojas todo en inglés con las reglas basicas para los onsen, localización, como llegar en autobús a los manantiales de la guía de lonely planet, restaurantes, etc. Esta muy cerca de la estación de tren, realmente a 1 minuto caminando. El internet bien, el cuarto pequeño, pero limpio y confortable”

“Room was clean and location was nearby the train station. It was very walkable. Kitchen and amenities were provided. Hot water and heater was great. It was very spacious and I recommend people to stay here!”

“Excellent ryokan to stay and enjoy private onsen bath. The ryokan is super clean, neat and tidy. Dinner and breakfast meals were excellent and delicious. Staffs are super friendly. Onsen bath facilities are excellent, clean and very quiet. We had a great overnight stay here and will be back for sure in our next trip to Beppu. Highly recommended.”

“Breakfast has tradition Japanese style with high quality food. Staff is very friendly and good English Room super clean and spacious room has own open bath is the highlight. We stay two nights and they will prepare totally different menu for breakfast and dinner ”
