“Excellent location. Interesting walks from the door. Good views when the mist lifted. Comfortable sitting room. Well stocked with kitchen equipment. Communication when arriving was good. Gillian, who met me, was helpful, friendly and efficient and gave me some good advice about the area. Matresses were a bit basic. “There was no hand/body soap, no toilet/paper towels, no dish detergent. Towels provided were very shabby with holes. The entire place was pretty shabby. The views however were spectacular. For the amount of money we spent staying here you would think at least soap would be provided. Would never recommend staying here.”

Incredible location with an incredible host, thanks Gillian and family for looking after us for our two week stay. We already miss this cottage and can't wait to get back. “Home decor was lovely , lovely linen, lots of space . Felt very comfortable staying there. Location superb - short car drive from everywhere. Few minor issues which have been feed back to owner - grubby laundry and main bathroom - ensuite was lovely , bins full.”

“We stayed for 2 weeks last year and 3 weeks this time. We have already asked for 4 weeks next year! Neither fashionable nor modern (the refrigerator is vintage 1970), it is the quiet respite we love and the location for daily drives and coffee looking out at Clew Bay. The housekeeper has made a huge difference in its upkeep, treated us as “her wee Americans” and gave us fabulous ideas for things to do, including Clew Bay Charters. We will count the days until we return.”
