“Our room was Yew and Eye, one of the newly built cabins in the garden of this historic inn with a twist. The design is like nothing we’ve ever seen before with surprises every way you look. “A quirky hotel - very old in parts plus newer extension. We had a spacious bedroom with 2 armchairs and a very comfortable bed. A modern bathroom, but with little shelf space to put toiletries or toothbrushes (a tumbler, perhaps?). Some complimentary toiletries provided. We booked to eat in the restaurant each night and were not disappointed with the quality or quantity of the dishes. Breakfast was cooked to order. “This was a fun place to stay while visiting the battle field. The village was very interesting with many small shops. The room appeared to be recently renovated and staying above a pub was a fun experience. The pub itself was also excellent. Our only complaint was lack of air conditioning...which resulted in us opening a window...and listening to traffic (the road out front is very busy) All-in-all, I would strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area”

There was a shower in the bathroom . With very large towels which smelled lovely . Lots of shampoo, shower gel snd body lotion supplied. I will definitely be going back ”
