Wonderful overnight stay
In the middle of a family road trip, we were able to relax at this beautiful home on the New River. The amenities were better than advertised. Our host promptly fixed a minor issue when we arrived, so we got to meet him and get some local tips. We wished we could have stayed another night!

Cozy and quiet
This is a great get away spot if you're looking for a quiet spot with scenic views and a cozy space to relax in. The home is clean and had all of the amenities we needed. The home is very easy to access. Additionally, it has river front property and plenty of yard space. Lastly, our host responded to our questions promptly and was incredibly courteous. We will certainly note this property for future use.

Great trip
The cabin worked perfectly for us.. we couldn’t get a Wi-Fi signal which was fine. Some cell service out on the deck. Being close to the river was an extra benefit.. we found a hiking trail down at the end of the road,(next to the swimming beach?). Plenty of kitchen ware/pantry items so we could cook our meals. Even got to watch a movie…(plenty of DVDs) Superior overall experience!

4/5 Good

Traveled with family
Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Amenities
The location was nice, especially the small shelter by the river. Our biggest complaint were the amenities. No wifi, no cell signal, no TV signal. There were severe storms that came in and we had no way of checking the forecast. We were cut off from communications. There was a land line that we could call for help if needed. It was also difficult to entertain ourselves. There were a lot of dvd discs, but the tv would not turn on. So we decided to read, but there were no lamps that produced enough light to read a book. If you want to be cut off from the world, it's OK.

You said you wanted to get off the grid....welcome to Prince!
This impressive cabin has a lot to offer. First, the location is remote. you have neighbors and arent too far from food and towns, but if you are expecting wifi or a phone signal. No such luck. None. Zero. Zip. Hooray! Now the Cabin itself is very clean, has a downstairs shower, the only one, and a full bath (jetted tub ) connected to the Master bedroom. Upstairs in the loft is a half bath. The beds are comfortable and they have 2 of the nicest futons my kid has ever slept on. The kitchen and all other descriptions on the site are accurate. There is a nice new sitting area down by the river and it has ample electricity so you could plug in and write the next great American novel while listening to the river float by. Down the road, there is a campground area that has some semblance of a trailhead. Careful, amongst the deer tracks we did see a larger cat variety of tracks. There are reports of black bears too, so just be careful. The owner was easy to communicate with and we had no issues at all. Enjoy your stay!
