This a fantastic location at a great price. It's close to the most iconic sites in Berlin at the same time being quiet, roomy, and clean. The rooms are updated and have plenty of space, including a kitchenette. The staff are helpful and kind. The beds are comfortable and the showers were the best ones of our entire trip. My only criticism is of the lobby, which always seemed to smell of a different cooking ingredient, perhaps owing to the restaurant next door. There is also no doorman, so the front door of the hotel is always locked. You need to either have a key card to get in or buzz the front desk to let you in. Perhaps this is how they keep prices low. So it's really a small inconvenience for such a great value. The rooms at this place were better than a hotel in another city in Germany where we paid twice the price.

This is a roomy, comfortable, and quiet hotel in a fabulous central location near Berlin’s greatest landmarks. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are spotlessly clean, and the decor is fresh and updated. There are only a few drawbacks to this hotel, which would not keep me from coming back. (In fact, I’m returning to the hotel next week.) First, the elevator didn’t work one evening and we had to take the stairs. Second, the reception area closes overnight, so there’s no overnight clerk available. Thus, you have to buzz yourself into the front door of the hotel with your key card. Third, the lobby smells a bit odd. Again, these issues will not prevent me from giving this place a strong recommendation. It’s a great location at a great price.
