Best stay

We had a wonderful stay at the Blue Fox Cottage. The home is beautifully decorated, very clean and had comfortable bedding. We loved the hot tub, sauna and big fenced back yard for the pups! Terrific amenities and attention to details to make guests feel welcome!

Wonderful Mountain Escape

Black Mountain is one of our favorite mountain towns to escape to in order to recharge our batteries. We were very glad to see that the town had not suffered much damage from Hurricane Helene.My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay at the Blue Fox Cottage. As advertised, it is a very easy, short stroll to downtown Black Mountain.The Cottage was spotless when we arrived which is very important to us. The bedrooms were very comfortable with a special shout out for the quality of the mattresses and especially the bathroom towels. We were so impressed with the bathrooms towels that I looked them up on the internet to order the same towels for our home...We brought our dogs with us so the fenced in backyard was much appreciated. We didn't make use of the firepit but we did use the Sauna and Hot Tub during our stay and very much enjoyed both!Overall our experience at Blue Fox Cottage was excellent and we appreciate the effort the owner has put into making the home comfortable for their guests.

Anniversary Trip

We had a chilly, rainy week so it really helped to have the hot tub and sauna. So relaxing. The fenced in yard was really nice for our dog. The interior is very nicely decorated. Short walk to downtown for some great restaurants and brewery with others in driving distance. Easy, flat driveway to park in with room for more than one car. Hosts were very responsive.

Lovely home, super convenient location

We loved our stay at the Blue Fox - it was perfect for our family. Super comfortable, quiet, and easy walking distance to the main part of Black Mountain. Very clean and love the decor. Highly recommend!

Granddaughter's 3rd Birthday

My wife and I enjoyed a fine stay at the Blue Fox Cottage. The home was just as it was represented on the site, and was clean and tidy. The host was efficient with check-in and the house rules were clear and reasonable. Although we didn't use the sauna it is new and immaculate inside. The hot tub was a pleasant experience. We were able to walk to restaurants and shopping. We would certainly stay there again!

Newborn Escape

We have a 4 week old and needed a change of scenery from our home. We booked this cottage as a get away and loved it. We brought two dogs who loved the back yard and was very convenient with a newborn and being able to walk to downtown. Very clean. Host quick to respond. My wife actually got sick while there and we were able to visit the local urgent care which was 2 minutes away. Will definitely be visiting again.

Great cottage in the perfect location!

Our family was visiting the Asheville area but wanted a laid back location where we could walk to restaurants and shops. The cottage was perfect! It’s a 3-10 minute walk from the adorable downtown area full of shops and restaurants. The neighborhood was very safe, quiet, and friendly (a lot of people walking, running, and sitting outside waving as we passed). There are some houses on the street that seem to be under going repairs, and at first glance might seem questionable, but we stayed for 5 days and had zero issues with any neighbors or noise, and felt safe leaving our teen and pre-teen at the cottage while we went to the local grocery store (Ingles, a few minutes drive). The cottage itself is very cute and updated. It had everything we needed to cook meals. It has a lot of board games to enjoy. The beds are very comfortable, and we all enjoyed the hot tub in the cute backyard. We were a little concerned initially with only having one bathroom for four of us, but it was never an issue! Overall, we greatly enjoyed the cottage and would definitely stay again!

Beautiful design/decor and great location

After a difficult entry based on an incorrect code, the stay here was good. The look and decor are gorgeous, but a few items make this one a four star for us versus five. Two of three beds are not super comfy and seemed a little noisy if you’re not a completely still sleeper. Also, shower doesn’t have great pressure and is marked wrong. Hot is cold and cold is hot. FYI. Otherwise, location is great and there were lots of amenities in the home.

What a great property! Super clean with everything you’ll ever need. Owners are fantastic and very responsive . You can definitely tell they take pride in their little Blue Fox. Can’t wait to stay there again.

Perfect mountain getaway!

This cottage couldn’t have been more perfect for our family’s weekend getaway! Every single detail was intentional and enhanced our stay in Black Mountain - the memory foam mattresses and artwork to the array of teas and coffee and even locally made oil diffusers - all wonderful! The proximity to downtown Black Mountain is indeed just a short walk and what an adorable variety of shops and restaurants! There’s no doubt that we’ll be back!
