More expensive than one might think

Pros: Location
Cons: be upfront about extra person costs,expedia make sure that there are 3 people designated for a 3 person hotel room stay.This was huge unforesee cost
Location: blarney castle, thats about it.
Hotel had good location, however somehow either through Expedia or the hotel we got charged for another person staying in our 3 bedroom which made the stay over half of the original cost of the hotel. We booked 3 people for a room that fits 3, however the hotel was un convinced. The dining and bar was very expensive. Overall the location is great the rooms are adequate, just know that they will try to take all of your $. This stay was one of the most expensive that we had on our 2 week's in Ireland and we had much better times at the others for a fraction of the cost. I would suggest looking some where else to have a good night and save the money.

Great location and great staff

We really enjoyed our stay here, the room was very comfortable and the staff is really helpful and friendly here. This is the perfect location right next to Woolen Mills and short distance to the Castle, I definitely recommend staying here and will stay here agan if I visit there again.

Mediocre hotel

Hotel room was ok. Alittle on the warm side. Bar underneath hotel was a bit loud at night. Check out process was terrible. 30+ minutes waiting on someone to come to the desk to check us out.

Good location but mediocre hotel

The hotel is very close to Blarney Castle so it is very convenient. Otherwise, the hotel itself is so-so. There is no elevator so a porter carrried our bags up to the third floor. Our room had twin beds instead of a double bed or a queen. Someone's dirty sock was still on the floor of the room. Some kind of loud noise (water heater?) was audible in the room for the duration of our stay. We were able to sleep but the conditions were not ideal. The manager was helpful and attentive. Breakfast is not a buffet. Instead, you order from a somewhat limited menu. If you want to see Blarney Castle, the hotel is in a great location but don't expect much of the hotel itself. Stay one night and move on.

Our favorite place.

On our trip to Ireland we stayed at 7 different places. This was our favorite. We felt like we part of the local crowd. The hotel is just a stones throw away from Blarney Castle (a must see, and not just to kiss the stone, the surrounding gardens and history is fun and beautiful). The staff was kind and friendly. The bar below looked like a place where the locals visit. At night they had a band play traditional Irish songs as well as some Beatles and Johnny Cash. We felt more like locals than tourists here than anywhere else we stayed.
