Walls are too thin, heard people laughing and talking loud for two nights in a row. When in the shower, the hair conditioner container was empty. It obviously wasn’t checked when the room was as last cleaned. Took me 15 minutes to get my hair unknotted.

Overall, it was okay, but I’m not sure if it was worth the price. The bed was too soft, and the pillows were terrible. There were no extra pillows or sheets, and it was very inconvenient that there was no room service, especially since there weren’t enough places to get snacks or food around the hotel. However, the staff were very kind, and the location was great.

This property has two towers on opposite sides of their lobby. We reserved two rooms and were placed in separate towers, which was very inconvenient. *Hoteliers: if someone reserves multiple rooms, always group them together unless stated otherwise* We requested a change and were offered rooms with fewer beds than we needed, so just kept the rooms we were given. The rooms themselves were nice, clean, and updated. We had great views of the river. We were able to walk out to a river walk along the Cambridge side of the river. We were there on the 4th of July to see the fireworks and were able to walk along the river all the way down to across from the Esplanade. It was a lovely walk and felt quite safe. Dining options were ridiculous. They were all very pricey and "upscale", though were unable to accommodate our party. We were told the new restaurant had gluten free options only to be seated and informed by the waiter that they did not. I have never had to leave a restaurant before and it was embarrassing for me and my whole family. The hosts and wait staff were not very welcoming or kind. The garage elevator closed on me and I had to leave my suitcase in the elevator so as not be injured. Lastly, the pool is on one end of the hotel so if you are walking from one tower on the opposite side, you have to cross the lobby and restaurant area to get to the pool...and back. They request you wear shoes and a cover-up, but you essentially drip your way back to your room.

We had a king suite with living room. We had a beautiful view of Boston & charles River from the 7th floor. Breakfast restaurant was very good, bar was great too.

Cleaning staff unprofessional and noisy at night and morning— they are in the hallway yelling and laughing. Another staff member arrived and told them to be quiet but they did not. Facility was probably once a very nice hotel but seems in decline.

The Royal Sonesta served as a wonderful relaxing place to come back to after exploring the city. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating the whims of a 5 year old. We will be back again :)

This is a nice hotel with a great location for getting around Boston and Cambridge. Now that they let dogs stay there, the dog lovers are happy but not if you are trying to nap in a room next to a dog and the owners have left it there barking! Also, it is not easy to find a coffee there unless you want to go to Starbucks in the hotel and it closes at 3. Otherwise, they have a GREAT friendly and helpful staff!!

I was looking for a hotel with close proximity to the TD Garden and this hotel fit this need perfectly. My daughter and I were able to safely and comfortably walk to a concert at the Garden. I would absolutely stay here again.
