Tragity at the Train Flat

The staff was very friendly at the train hostel (where we had to go to check in due to us showing up late) but had no clue on how to make the key card work. We showed up very late due to delayed plane flight.... it took a lot of time and struggle to get into the flat. The pictures made the room look great compared to the actuality. The neighborhood was questionable and parking was down the block on the street (pay for parking). The hostel was 250m away around the block.... we only had to deal with them because we came in late.

Abbiamo soggiornato nell'appartamento denominato "La12", situato ad alcune centinaia di metri rispetto all'ostello presso il quale è necessario effettuare il check-in. Nel complesso l'appartemento è ampio e gradevole, purtroppo è presente un'unica, piccola, finestra situata in camera da letto. Pertanto l'appartamento ha un odore di "chiuso" non particolarmente gradevole. La cucina ha pochi piatti e bicchieri, originariamente in numero insuffieciente per gli ospiti (4), è stato necessario richiederne l'integrazione. L'appartamento non è vicino al centro, ma si trova nelle immediate vicinanze di un capolinea del tram (il 92), con il quale è possibile raggiungere il centro in una ventina di minuti, e ad una stazione ferroviaria (Schaerbeek), dalla quale raggiungere qualsiasi destinazione (Bruges, Gant, Anversa, l'Aeroporto, etc.). Il personale della Reception è gentile, alcuni parlano correntemente l'italiano e sono prodighi di consigli. E' possibile lasciare in deposito il bagaglio in attesa del check-in o alla partenza, potendo così visitare la città in attesa di prendere possesso dell'appartamento o di recarsi in aeroporto. Se non si hanno troppe pretese e ci si accontenta di un appartamento più che dignitoso, lo consiglio senza dubbio alcuno.

De lägenheter som hör till detta hostel ligger några kvarter bort från receptionen där man hämtar nyckeln. Läget är i ett lugnt bostadskvarter väldigt nära Schaerbeeks järnvägsstation. Min lägenhet var rymlig med 3 bäddar i våningssäng (som på tåg) och vad som kan ha varit en bäddsoffa i ett annat rum. Väldigt kallt i lägenheten när jag kom men det gick att lösa genom att skruva upp elementen. Köksavdelningen inkluderade kylskåp. Gott om handdukar men se till att ta med egen tvål och schampo. Man betalar en extra avgift på plats för städning. Helt OK ställe om man har rätt förväntningar.

We liked the convenience of being close to the train station. And we really liked that there was a kitchen stocked with cooking equipment in the apartment. And it was clean and more spacious than the average hotel room. However, the apartment I initially booked was not available when we arrived, and so we were put into a different apartment. We were right in the front now, overlooking a park. It was pretty warm out, so the windows were open. That park is loaded with loud people during the night. And the light out there right outside of the window is super bright. And then there was the bed. It was two twin beds pushed together. My poor son slept in the middle, falling into the gap. He was uncomfortable, and didn’t sleep well. And that left us all not sleeping well. I’m not quite sure why they charge extra money for a third person in the room if he’s only three years old and he’s got the bad end of the deal with sleeping in a hole.

Good cozy flat

Very cozy place, and good price for such a big flat. Location is near Schaarbeek Station, so we could go to central Brussels by train, still cheaper than living inside Brussels. One downside is the building has a shared external door outside of the living room where I slept on the sofa bed, and during our stay after midnight, someone slammed the door to get in/out, that shocked me and my baby awake.

A great apartment with retro railway decor

A uniquely decorated apartment with a retro railway feel. Good wifi & TV, Would stay there again. Negatives are - there is little to do in the area and the flat was not supplied with any toiletries or coffee/tea so make sure you take your own.

Great location, roomy, comfortable, quiet!

We had a great stay at the Train Flat. It was very roomy, clean, quiet, had close restaurants, shopping, etc. We had a rental car, and it was easy to find parking on the street, but make sure you know you are parking in a good spot...I couldn't read the sign in Dutch and found out later it was a temporary no parking sign...$250 later I got my car back from the towing company!

Ottimo primo impatto al check in , con personale estremamente simpatico e disponibile. Abbiamo alloggiato in un flat carino dotato di tutto , forse richiederebbe un po di manutenzione alle porte e al divano letto. Posizionato alla periferia nord di Bruxelles , ma discretamente servito da mezzi pubblici.Incredibile il museo delle ferrovie a 100 m dall'ostello. Der Anfang war nicht so "smooth". Ich hatte nicht alle Details gelesen, wo ich den Schlüssel für das Appartment bekomme, da ich annhame, dass es ein Apparthotel wäre. Dass kein Schrank und keine Bügel da waren, half nicht meine Stimmung direkt zu heben. Aber nachdem das alles vorbei oder als akzeptiert eingestuft war, konnte ich die Atmosphäre des Appartmens langsam genießen. Zum Schluss (am End des ersten Tages) fühlte ich mich auch wohl. Für Eisenbahnenthusiasten ist das sicher ein super Appartment. Mit Liebe zu Detail eingerichtet und gestaltet.

PROS=Nice vintage train inspired internal decor ( with the actual tr6ain parts) Nearly fully furnished kitchen Cons= Reception on a separate building No elevator so be prepared to climb up a narrow steep stairs Road leading to flat stinky (due to fallen tree seeds/ flowers/ leaves) so avoid stepping on them. Stayed on 1st floor room (MIT) booked for 4 guests but only prepared for 2. Sofa bed fitted sheets dirty (not been changed) = only noted when extended to a bed Was told there were extra sheets, towels & pillows in the cupboard downstairs but there were none. (Only fitted sheets for single bed). Had to go to the reception 2x to get it sorted Wardrobe/ cupboard doors broken, also no latch hence at times opens by itself No hair dryer No full size oven No toiletries

ブリュッセル観光中心地からバスで２５分。最寄りのバス停までは徒歩５分程度。 清掃料金が40€と非常に高い割には、スーパー清潔でもなく普通。 アメニティは皆無。ランドリーが部屋外の共用部にあり見つけられずコインランドリーに行く羽目に。 レセプションも解りにくく、エクスペディア記載通りの住所に行っても中に入れず。レセプションがある駅前までの坂を行ったり来たり。 周りには何もなく立地もイマイチ。同じ料金を支払うなら中心街にすればよかったと反省しました。部屋はユニークで広いです。ただそれだけ。
