The condo is very very small but good for 2 people. Although I cooked every meal, the kitchen is far too small to do this . There were no drying towels for dishes so had to ask. This goes for garbage bags as well. When they were delivered, I received one tiny tea towel and 2 garbage bags and that was it. I did not bother again but rather dried the dishes with one of the white towels that were there and used plastic bags we accumulated through the 2 weeks. My contact lense container lids disappeared after the cleaning lady came one day and did her cleaning , mistaking them for lids of water bottles but I was told she saw my son take something. I was therefore told it was likley my son but of course my son knows not to touch my contact stuff so /i just let it go. the cleaning lady through out my contact lense containers- period. but hell, you are in Cancun, no worries.
The condo had an inch of dust and dirt under the bed when I arrived and the futon is broken and very dirty. the TV will play Netflix in Spanish which we had a good laugh at. The shower water pressure is so low that the water barely comes out and the there is no hot water in the kitchen tap so get ready to boil water to do dishes.
That being said, it is not the condo, is is where it it located. 5 minutes to the beach and beside a couple variety stores ( super expensive ). You can sign up for a tour right outside your door and you will be accosted daily as you walk out the door to buy a tour. These guys are aggressive but I did buy a fishing tour and get a taxi from one of them.
The other incredible thing about this place and the best part is the pool. It is a diamond, hardly used and big with all the chairs broken around it but who cares. /it is surrounded by plam trees and lush gardens that iguanas patrol. the pool was the best part despite the broken lawn chairs that look like they have not been replaced in 20 years.
The area is very secure, there are regular police patrols and security people everywhere all very pleasant. I never felt unsafe.
The last thing to say is that if you rent a car you will not be able to park it inside the complex where the parking is. For that matter there is also no parking on the street during the day at all. If not for the kind tour salesman who let us use his spot sometimes, we would have not had a single place to park the car. So be forwarned- parking places on this street are only available into the evening if you are lucky
