Becoming a family tradition

This was our second time staying and we love this place so much. Amazing location that over looks the lake and just a short drive to the river. Families of deer surround the hills which makes sunset walks around the neighborhood and experience you won’t forget. Great fire pit area in the back and game room on the bottom floor is a huge plus for us. We will look to stay here very summer and any time we are in the area.Thanks Green Roof Cottage!!

Perfect little getaway

Perfect little place to relax. My husband and I loved that even tho it's not secluded ot feels secluded. The gamr room in the garage was awesome. The hot tub was also nive to enjoy. The kitchen was very nice with all the extras you needed. They have roku tvs so you can enjoy a movie or show. Also the main bed was very comfortable. I definitely recommend this place and would stay here again!

All wonderful until

The property and location are perfect. The house was clean and the outdoor living areas were very nice and exactly what we were looking for. I had planned to grill steaks for Saturday evening dinner and I bought expensive steaks so I was really looking forward to a very nice dinner. I had prepared my steaks one day before and about an hour before I started to grill I went out to check on the grill and noticed two propane tanks. Both were empty, I immediately called the host Hill Country Premier Lodging and I told them the propane tanks were empty, they asked me to make sure and trouble shoot so I did and no propane was flowing into grill lines. They told me there was nothing they could do and told me that I would have to go get my own propane. I was extremely upset and told them that wasn’t my job and someone should have checked the tanks and obviously failed and didn’t do their job. I was told if I would go get my own tanks that I would be reimbursed. That was their best solution. I didn’t have any other choice and I didn’t want my steaks to go bad so I reluctantly and very upset drove five miles and had to use my own gas and spend my time to go exchange a propane tank. I got back to the house and connected the tank and the grill did not work. The lines were clogged a very tiny amount of propane was coming out of lines. I was not able to grill and I wasted my steaks. The house reservation clearly stated that a grill was available but clearly a non working grill was.

Great getaway

I took my wife here for her birthday as a surprise and she loved it. Exactly as advertised, great views from the front window. We had a lot of laughs playing the different games in the games room. Highly recommend and would definitely go back.

Great Location

Secluded enough to feel super relaxed yet within driving distance to go have a nice dinner in San Marcos, Gruene, or New Braunfels. We enjoyed the property so much that we booked it for us our kids and my mother to stay at again for a concert in gruene.

A Little Piece of Heaven!

We loved this property - We booked a quick New Years getaway. It was my husband and me and our 2 kids. The firepit, hot tub and game room kept us all busy. The house was clean, neat, and cute. The master bed was fabulous! I slept like a baby. The shower is spacious. All amenities provided. Spices were provided. I brought my own just in case but didn't need to. They have good dishes, pots, and pans. Everything was fantastic and we would definitely stay again.

Thanksgiving get away

This was our 3rd time staying here and this location and home is one of our favorites. This home has something for everyone.. the only complaint this trip was that the hot tub could have been cleaner..it was cloudy and had a musty smell, but this will not keep us from returning in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Green Roof Cottage. The game room was a big bit! We also loved the location. It was a fifteen minute drive to any of the hill country places we wanted to visit. We would love to stay again!

So good I wish I could buy it

Seriously made us want to up root and move to Canyon Lake. The house has everything. So peacefully tucked into the trees where you feel all alone. About half a mile from the entrance to the lake and a grocery store made it super convenient to shop for food. The game room, hot tub and outdoor area with the fire pit was the best. There were two mama deer with 2 babies that would come up to us each morning and night. Plus the amenities of the tv with Netflix and Disney available made it like home for the little one. We can’t wait to return. We will book this house every year we come back.
