There's so much to do in Ciudad Nueva, but venture farther afield and you'll find more sightseeing magic. Arrange a set of wheels and you can roam around the greater area at your own speed. Add these awesome places to your itinerary:

• You'll find Playa Dorada and many other amazing attractions in Puerto Plata. From Ciudad Nueva, it's about 110 miles away.
• Why not enjoy everything on offer in Punta Cana too? Unmissable attractions in this vibrant city include Bavaro Beach. Punta Cana is about 100 miles from Ciudad Nueva.
• Get out into nature and take in the serenity at La Ensenada Beach. You'll find it roughly 130 miles from Ciudad Nueva.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Dominican Republic, then it's likely you'll need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be able to rent a car. Also consider that if an IDP is required, it won't be valid on its own. You'll have to show your driver's license from your home country your passport and other forms of identification as well.
