I liked the view up on the hill. The rooftop picnic area was cool as well, probably its nicest feature. A huge turn-off is the state of the property. It just needs a half million dollars in renovations and upgrades. I relaize not every hotel owner can afford this....but do one room at a time. My wife fell off the loose toilet seat just as we arrived. After picking her off the floor, I went to the car and got my tools and tightened down the sest so this wouldnt happen to anyone else. (Youre welcome) the blinds didnt have pull strings to raise them and if they were the ones you just lifted, that didnt work either. We stayed in the Jr Suite which had easy access fom the street (2 sets of stairs) but again made me feel uneasy as anyone had access to our door. The hangars for the shower curtain were rusty. The jacuzzi tub has seen better days and while it may have been clean, it was stained from too much use. The mirrored door in the bathroom have rusty tracks, while all this may seem trivial, not at $250 a night. The bathroom has a wet damp odor, the carpet is old and needed to be replaced. So...while the view is priceless, It wasnt worth the price. The hotel staff did let us check-in early and if you are disabled...this isnt the place for you. Lots of stairs. No elevator that I saw. I love Cardiff, i just wish we had a pleasant experience. Expedia...you misrepresented a nice place. Id urge you to send out a secret shopper to confirm everything I reported. The seat spring broke.
