"Rustic" experiencePosted Sep 21, 2015
The room was very dated and the AC unit started 'moaning' in the middle of the night and had to be turned off. There were a number of bugs in the room (spiders, flies, mosquitos). The door mat was worn and had a hole in the middle. Moldy bathroom, stained carpeting & chairs.

Enough for skiing anyway.Posted Mar 24, 2015 on Hotels
Stayed one night so I could ski nearby. Location was great in Rutland, but the room was extremely worn out, and SO HOT. I could also hear everything the neighbors were saying. Didn't sleep well, but since it was daylight savings, I had to get up 'early' anyway.

When you tell locals that you're staying at the Rodeway Inn and they tell you that it's known for bedbugs, you know you've found the right place. Linens are dirty, sheets don't fit the beds, cigarette burns on everything, surprisingly clean bathroom though. Room service never cleaned the room. Room key was left out in the open with my personal information (late check-in). Overall not a great place, but it is a cheap place and you get what you pay for. If all you need is a bed for the night, stay here.

good proximity to ski but slightly disappointingPosted Mar 11, 2015
Easy to find and close to the ski resorts. The room was too cramped with 2 double beds. A single queen would have allowed better access to the bathroom.

You get what you pay forPosted Feb 26, 2015
The hotel was very outdated - cheap furniture, outdated bathrooms, old tv. Continental breakfast was edible at best. It was cheap and now I know why.

Gross sheetsPosted Jan 30, 2015 on Hotels
Had to go buy new sheets. Steam room doesn't work. Can't expect much with the price.

Good place to stay while skiing.Posted Jan 10, 2015 on Hotels
We stayed here while we went skiing at Pico. The room they gave us was really big, which we really appreciated. It had 3 beds and 2 sinks, plus a fridge and a microwave. The room was charmingly outdated, including a "steam machine" in the bathroom which was disconnected, but all the knobs were still there. It was fun to look at. You can't beat the location if you want to go skiing - you are right on the main road on the way up to Pico and Killington. The continental breakfast wasn't too great, but who cares since there is a Dunkin Donuts next door and a supermarket a 3 minute drive away. Just buy some cereal and milk and put it in your in-room fridge. The other big advantage of this hotel is that it is 3 blocks away from a bus stop for the "Diamond Express" which takes you to Pico/Killington. You don't have to drive!

Rutlin Rodeway off the Main Road- not rt7Posted Nov 1, 2014 on Hotels
if you just need a place to sleep thats basic. This is your place. Linnen was clean but the carpets seem to have needed cleaning or upgraded and the walls could use some cleaning. Bathroom was basic but fine. The Wifi kept going in and out but eventually maintained. But the management the next morning was great provided basic breakfast for our early leave and was quite pleasant at 6:30 am...shout out to Debue

Dingy and dark. Old, old. Bed was comfortable, it was conducive of a good nights sleep, that's all I needed. The bathtub surround was black with mold.
