"What a wonderful quiet, charming home right on the water. House was clean, linens smelled freshly laundered, beds were super comfy and there were very thoughtful amenities like bug spray, coffee, water bottles in the fridge, and even a bag of local maple snacks. If we find ourselves in the area again we will definitely hope to stay here again!"

"Our stay was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we checked in, we knew it was going to be a quiet and relaxing long weekend. House was clean and very comfortable. The view was amazing especially at sunrise. We had one minor hiccup. We accidentally set off the smoke dectors and couldn't shut them off. Called Josie and she was over to help us out immediately. We were sad to leave but if our lives ever take us back to Alburgh, VT we will definitely rent this beautiful house again."

"Enjoyed beautiful sunset view, grilling dinner, 2 firepits, kayaks for short exploring of neighboring homes along the lake, coffee on the front porch watching the horses across the street, walking along the quiet road to the Hog Island Market, friendly neighbors, visit to a fun antique shop and beautiful hiking spots nearby, and a short drive to Canada for a nice dinner out. Bonuses were pet-friendly stay (our 2 dogs had a great time) and clean, cozy lake cottage with more than enough space and everything we needed for a fun, peaceful and scenic late summer get away!"

"We booked this rental to get away from our busy lives and relax and this was perfect for us. The balcony is where we spent hours and hours just watching the sun set, reading books, drinking coffee and wine. The location was perfect for us because our only agenda was to relax. We did find a fantastic winery, a few towns to explore, and a sandy beach (dune) that we had all to ourselves to celebrate our anniversary. Also I’m not too proud to say the couches provided the perfect naps, pure heaven. "

"While otherwise everything was excellent, I have to strongly downgrade the place for the following reason. This is a concierge-less fully automated property. We got there exactly at 4, and the front door did not open w the provided pin. After trying several times, my wife discovered that an additional button had to be pushed, while I was on the phone unsuccessfully trying to get somebody on the provided phone number. This button was not disclosed in the instructions. That took 10 minutes. Then we went to the room provided in the original Expedia communications (each room had a name, not a number) and the provided pin again did not work. After a number of tries, the person I reached on the phone gave me the name and instructions to get to the room and it was not the original room. We went to the new room and the code again did not work. A worker in the house tried to help us but she had no means to access the necessary info, so she went on the same phone numbers to call the remote office. We in the meantime tried the room again, and then all the other rooms there in case we misunderstood the name, without success. Both the worker and I finally reached the office and verified that the code and new room were correct, and with her help we were finally able to enter it after the 3rd try! It turned out that both the front door and especially the room door were sticking and did not open even with the correct pin. It was now 4:35 and we were bushed and greatly upset. "

"Everything was excellent! The cottage was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Linda was a great host. Informative and friendly without being intrusive. The location was great! Beautiful scenery, lots of places to walk, get food and sights to see.I can’t wait to come back!"
