“Had an enjoyable stay at the Hitching Post. Character little hotel in nice community and area. Terrific access to Black Canyon of the Gunnison North Rim! Hotel owners were the sweetest and gave us a great first impression of the place! Room was cozy and nice. Little fridge, microwave, AC, smart TV. Room coffee was terrible though 😜”

The Black Canyon of the Gunnison is one of the most awesome things I’ve ever seen! Our hosts Laurie and Scott were super accommodating.”

“Wonderful place, away from it all, but with quick wifi to stay in touch with the world. Prairie dogs, bunnies, hummingbirds and more to help you appreciate the beautiful flora and fauna of Colorado. Easy access to all the activities we planned. Plenty of bedding, towels, toiletries and even a couple bottles of wine to help us feel at home. Wonderful fire pit, clean BBQ and horseshoes for outdoor entertainment. Owner was quick to respond to any questions and concerns. Would definitely rent again!”

“We stayed at this cabin for 2 nights to start our national parks tour from BC of G to Utah to Vegas. Our 2 adult sons, daughter in law and snoop the bassett hound. What an awesome place to stay. Loved the patio - saw elk and mule deer each night. Super convenient to Black canyon of Gunnison and downtown montrose. Colorado Boy pizza was a great find in town. “We so enjoyed staying at the "Moon House!" As the name suggests, there were little "moon" touches throughout the house from pictures, to a puzzle of the moon and a "Shoot the Moon" game. And, if you wanted to, you could view the real moon through the house telescope. What fun! The hosts, Chadwell and Carissa, were responsive and timely and clear in their communications. They made us feel so welcome without being intrusive and their dog, Charlie, welcomed us and checked on us daily. We hated to……

“The house was perfect for our family's visit to Colorado. We traveled from Rome, Georgia to Hotchkiss for my daughter's wedding at a local venue. The house had everything we needed and was conveniently located to the venue. Also, it was only a short walk to a couple of restaurants, groceries and a great little coffee shop.
