The Mill duplex is located just minutes from Michigan Tech in the quaint town of Chassell MI. Apartment A is the perfect destination for business travelers and couples looking for adventure! Explore the Keweenaw Peninsula in your off time or relax in your own private spaces. When you stay at the The Mill, you will enjoy the private bedroom, an efficient yet well equipped kitchen, and a private patio area. Prepare for a relaxing and comfortable stay that won’t break the bank!

The Mill is our most affordable property and it is perfect for business travelers. The property consists of two 1 bedroom duplexes and is a quick and easy commute to Michigan Tech and local healthcare facilities. The Mill apartments provide enormous value and convenience!

The town of Chassell is genuinely quiet, but the property is located along US41. Most of the traffic dies down after dark, but some road noise may still be heard.

A portion of all bookings will be donated to support local youth baseball.

Just perfect for us and our pup

We were on the go for much of our week in the U.P., and this was a great place to land at the end of each day. Accommodations were just right - everything we needed, nothing we didn’t, and a terrific location. Our pup loved morning and evening walks on the trails, the lake was lovely, and during a warm week, Fred and Maria were thoughtful about making sure things were cool and comfortable. We’re looking forward to going back.

Wonderful accommodations

We’ve stayed at numerous VRBO rentals over the years. This place in Chassell was perfect for our 45th Anniversary trip up to the Keweenaw. It is a super clean home. It has everything we needed and more. It’s in a perfectly safe neighborhood. The town of Chassell is small but very nice. It’s close to Houghton and the Quincy Mine which had rock shows we came here for. The backyard and deck area was perfect for our 2 small yorkies we brought with us. The air conditioning worked great as well as the furnace. Both used on our one week vacation in August! It seems like it’s brand new inside. The bed was comfortable. Again there was everything you might need and more. Communications with the owner was great too. There’s only enough room sleeping wise for 2 or 3 people. But I wouldn’t hesitate to book this home again for our next trip if going to the Keweenaw. We even got to see the Northern Lights from the deck out back. My first time ever seeing them and I’m in my 60s. Definitely was a highlight. A wonderful home.

Anniversary trip

We really enjoyed the space and found it to be clean, well stocked, and spacious. There is a community park that is walkable from the location which was great for our dog. It is on a main street so you do hear traffic. I will note that the AC didn't seem to be working properly but there was a floor unit and fans available. I don't think that should take away from the rating of the property though, they were obviously accommodating the best they could. I would stay definitely stay again.

Beautiful Rental

We had previously visited the area with our large family, and my husband and I loved it so much we came back for another visit with just us. This rental was beautiful and everything as listed. The property owner was very helpful and polite. We had an awesome stay and would definitely rent the apartment again.
