An amazingly clear set of various dinosaur tracks are visible at Clayton State Park due to the construction of the dam that created this recreational place. The boardwalk around the are helps preserve this snapshot in time
Morning across the lake. I was able to eat an orange at the water edge, watch the fish grab bugs off the surface, and catche the sun coming up. If you would like to see a timelapse of the sunrise check out: https://youtu.be/jet8hF6DbT0
Skipping forward to night two...mostly because it was just another day of driving for hours. This was another time I was able to just put my camera out and go to bed while it fired all night. This is about 1400 photos stacked together. I am looking south. So my google maps has a few thousand starred places; this was one of them. I have absolutely no idea why this place was listed. It was a cool place, but hours out of the way. It did feel good to get a real night sleep.

The room was nice, although this property is extremely close to a major highway with 18 wheeler traffic 24 a day, as well as being in close proximity to railroad tracks with trains blowing their horn. The breakfast was awesome for a hotel breakfast, several choices from hot food as well as fruit ...

Quaint, well appointed cabin in a quiet location. Both the futon and king bed slept comfortably, shower was hot with plenty of good towels. Host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with.

The entire home was very cute! The rabbit theme to go with the name of the house "The Burrow" was also very cute. Host was attentive to messages before, during and after our stay. The bottle of wine and snacks was an extra special, welcoming touch.

Have you ever been through Boise City? It's an unusual place. The town was founded on fraud. Some con-men distributed pamphlets selling land plots. The pamphlets claim there was a thriving community with artisan springs. When the buyers of the plots arrived here, they found harsh conditions. Boise City was hit especially hard during the dust bowl in the 1930's. And in 1943, Boise City was the only bombed by pilots who mistook the town for target during a training exercise for WWII. This dinosaur greets visitors coming south from Colorado as they enter the town.
