“Patrick and Debi were amazing hosts.The property is very clean and well kept.They were very accommodating and personable and the grounds were very peaceful and quiet.Breakfast was delicious and we will always choose Shane Acres over any hotel when we need a place to stay in the Madison area. “Overall, the Silver Bell was a good value for the money paid. The owner, with whom we spoke only by phone, was very pleasant. The room we stayed in had just been renovated with new flooring, toilet, etc., so it was very clean. For us, safety and cleanliness were our two key concerns. Be aware that there are no amenities or decorations of any kind (coffee maker, closet, suitcase stand, pictures, etc.), other than the soap that is provided. However, given the price, this was acceptable. Note……

“The hotel was everything you'd want. I arrived late and the night staff member warmly welcomed me and had everything ready. Basically, he handed me the room keys and I headed straight to the room. The room was clean and everything was in good repair. Breakfast was good with plenty of options.”

“The room we stayed is was clean. It looked as though it may have recently been renovated. But the overall hotel looks very dated. The pool was a bit green and cloudy so we certainly did not use it.”
