To start off, we pulled into the property to see 6 police cars surrounding a car in the parking lot, clearly a drug bust. Not the hotels fault, but not a great start to our trip. The pullout couch bed was nothing but bed springs (I don’t expect much from a couch mattress, but this was bad). Our room was a handicap room, which I have no problems with...it’s roomier. However the shower, there is no “lip” on the shower, so the water just runs out of the shower. How!!!??? I’m not sure of how this is supposed to work. So we would have to get a handful of towels and place them just outside the shower so that it wouldn’t flood the bathroom. Then the shower head continually fell off throughout the shower. And if you thought you could stand in the shower and not touch the shower curtain, nope. It was touching us the whole time. It was the running joke between the kids and I. The hairdryer blew up (not technically, but kinda!). I had about 1/4 of my hair dried and the dryer started to smell like it was burning up and then just like that, it died. It was so hot to the touch. The staff (Pamela), was super kind and found another from another room, gave us extra towels and let my kids swim until 1030. The area is right across from a truck stop, so lots of big rigs, not a huge problem, but not ideal. It just didn’t feel like a great area. I would have canceled our second night Amd found somewhere else to stay, but I couldn’t get a refund for it, so we stuck it out.
