“Nicely located for the local base, but it is on a busy road that was particularly noisy at certain times of day. The bathroom wasn't clean on arrival which was disappointing and the AC was also noisy. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel seemed to have a no pet policy - but there were definitely dogs on site. We didn't try the breakfast - but it seemed popular with the other guests.”

“My stay at River Edge Inn was surprisingly pleasant, considering the low cost of the reservation. The exterior is attractive and clean, nothing fancy. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and check-in was quick and hassle free. My two double room was clean and roomy. The room included a refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom was a little small but functional and clean. The mattresses aren't anything to write home about, but were comfortable enough. I really liked the picnic……

“Upon arrival we were shocked to see complete front entrance demolition/ remodeling! We honestly thought the place was closed and we were at the wrong location! After a few seconds, we notice temporary arrow signs leading us to a temporary entrance. Thank goodness. Staff greeting was professional and pleasant. No mention of the demo. We were promptly checked in and given our room #. Room was wonderful and no complaints other than location. First floor, right next to "new entrance" and double……

“Great stay”

“This is an older hotel that really hasn't kept up to today's expectations for the average hotel guest. But, for the price, I got exactly what I expected, that being a clean room, a place to bathe, a small kitchenette and a place to sleep. The staff was friendly & helpful. For those giving bad reviews for this place, I'd only remind them that this was by far, the cheapest place around. I only paid $64 per night, so I think I got a good deal.”

“This is the worst hotel I have ever booked. I got to the room and it was musty and smelled like smoke. The whole hotel is dirty. There wasn't even a sink or mirror in the bathroom. I refused to stay the night and when I asked for a refund becuase I wasn't even staying there, the management refused. If you are thinking of booking it just don't. It is disgusting, the pictures are misleading, and the management is rude. You will regret it, I definitely do.”

“If you want a quiet slice of VA/Potomac waterfront, this is the place.”
