“Spotless. Clean and tidy. Quiet. Had all the facilities needed Second time there. ”

“Unfortunately I cannot post photos of the property but where to begin. When we arrived we were greeted with full bins and rubbish on the floor which we were told to pick up. The outside furniture is in a horrible state that I wouldn’t even let the kids sit on with the rust. The oven was in a disgusting state and the fridge door was broken. The state of the cottage was like nothing I’ve seen before. Which is very surprising considering that when you book this property you are then told that the...

“Had a great stay at mc courts cottage with the family . Lovely little charming irish cottage with over 200 year of history and hopefully many more . Kids loved playing in the garden and using the swing . What a fantastic location for getting out of busy life and totally relaxing in the mournes with the beautiful views . Hot tub was brilliant for un winding in the evening in a peaceful setting . Would definitely return to lazy evening in front of the little log burner .”

“Our only regret about choosing this charming property is that we were unable to stay longer! It was the perfect spot for our family to rest and restore after busy days seeing Northern Ireland. Esther is friendly and welcoming, the home was perfect and the nearby village had all the necessities.”

“The cottage was delightful! It isn’t a shared space, so the whole place was ours - so nice! I highly recommend this quaint town. It has cute shops and wonderful pubs in easy walking distance. The host was super helpful with anything we needed and the cottage is spotless. The parking was tight, but there are lots nearby if you aren’t comfortable with the curb parking. For future travelers from the arid American West, Europeans don’t use a top sheet and regulate their inner temperatures different...

“We had a fantastic time at Olivia-Leigh Cottage! Olivia is a wonderful host - she sent detailed instructions for the check in process, left a lovely welcome hamper for our arrival, was flexible with our needs on check out day and kindly mailed an item we left behind to us after our stay! The cottage is superb - great location, charming, cosy, spacious and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you Olivia!”

“This delightful cottage is a hidden gem, deceptively spacious as the main stone part is the bedroom and the kitchen, dressing room and bathroom occupy part of the white building to the left of the entrance door. Ample parking, farm animals next door and a super host who lives on site. Great location for Belfast but central for all parts of County Down including the Mournes and museums.”

“Very nice location, the host was very helpful and quickly helped to provide advice and support. Provided a booklet with local recommendations and useful contacts. Plenty of room for parking. Near a road but still very quiet. Complimentary toiletries and some breakfast food provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend”

“Amazing cottage, equipped with everything you wanted ”

“The cottage was ideal for our mid-week break, my granddaughter loved the garden, as did the two dogs we had with us. Peaceful and relaxing. The cottage is comfortable and well laid out and had everything we needed to make our stay most enjoyable. Lots to do in the local area.”

“Patrick is an amazing host with easy instructions to check in and out. Red Robin cottage was an absolute delight and would definitely stay again. Highly recommend!”

“Lovely, well-appointed cottage, close to Castlewellan and Newcastle, yet charmingly rural, tucked away in the foothills of the Mournes.Kerry was a welcoming host whose attention to detail made our stay particularly comfortable. Highly recommended!”
