“I did not like that there was no air conditioning, no safe, toilet had no sink, people at reception did not speak English very well, and in the restaurant no one understood English, the meal we had was prime rib , which I asked for it to be well done, came with blood running out of it, sent it back to cook more, it came back the same, three waiters there did not know what a vodka and tonic was! I thought given that we were in Juno beach , which is for Canadians that there would be more English,……

“Our quick visit to Hôtel de la Plage was wonderful. Despite a much later first night arrival, the staff kept in constant communication with us for check-in and had keys and information waiting. The restaurant was closed, but they put together a last-minute charcuterie board and some drinks for us. Clean rooms, great beds, central location, wonderful food and not enough can be said about the staff. Always welcoming, always smiling, just fantastic and charming. Easily would stay here again,……

“Room and grounds lovely. Plenty of parking. Restaurant and breakfast chaotic. A member of staff arrived in her PJ's to open up for Breakfast 20 mins late. Evening meal, obviously not enough staff - delays in food and limited choice, as only 1 person in the kitchen.”

“One of the best places we stayed in France. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We got in late (around 9:00 p.m.) and asked if we could eat at the restaurant. Although it was at the end of the evening, they allowed us to have dinner there and it was a spectacular meal. The room was clean and comfortable. So much so that we decided to extend to another day and have the hotel as home base. The next evening was even more pleasant. Highly Highly recommend this place.”

“This property was absolutely beautiful and quaint. We stayed in the Catherine suite which had its own private green room. It was a real treat! I enjoyed listening to the rain and sipping tea in the early morning in the green room. Our shower was fantastic and the bathroom was newly remodeled. The property has a lot of history and preserves the charm of a real French country Chateau. The grounds are gorgeous and our hosts allowed us to spend the evening exploring the park and fruit orchard.……
