We arrived right at 3pm for check-in. Desk clerk was having system issues. We told her that we wanted to pay with a different card than the reservation was made in. She was having trouble changing it and kept running the card on file instead of the one we asked her to use. My bank contacted me flagging the purchase as fraudulent due to the card being run multiple times. After about 20 minutes and two additional employees being contacted for help, she got the correct card charged and we were given the room keys. We got on the elevator and went up to the room. Once we walked in we immediately knew something was wrong. We were put in a dirty room. The room smelled bad and was disheveled. The bed was unmade and the old dirty sheets/blankets were in the floor. There was trash in all the room's trashcans. The bathroom had no clean towels and the dirty ones were in the floor. The bathroom sink had the wrappings from a cigar in it. We were tired from the 11 hour trip and wanted to relax and get cleaned up but now had to go back to the front desk to get the issue corrected. We discussed just cancelling our reservation due to the 1st and 2nd impressions we had of the property. With it being the holiday, we knew we had no other option but to keep our reservation at La Quinta. Front desk changed us to a room on the same floor and it was nice and clean. We did have some issue with the noise level from other guests running up and down the hall way and making lots of noise.

The walls are very thin and you can here everything in the rooms next to you. Also the bedding was scratchy and very minimal. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I chose to stay here because it is a pretty new hotel, but I was disappointed in the quality.
