First and foremost we didn’t get the room that was described in description. We didn’t get a room with a Mountain View or with a kitchenette etc. we ended up getting a bottom floor basic room with no view, no kitchen and extremely basic. Do not expect anything great with this place. On top of everything else the people up stairs were being extremely noisy at 6:00 in the morning, banging and dragging items across the floor. So not only could we not sleep in, their check-out is at 10:00 in the morning…. I could go on and on about this place. Absolutely terrible experience!!! Will not ever stay here again. Seriously unless there is no where else to sleep do not (try to sleep here).

We experienced power outrages and businesses shut down for days due to wild fires, and could not find things to do in the area (the national also park shut down due to the fire). However, the hotel itself is pretty clean and comfortable.

The staff was not informative. The park was closed due to fire which also resulted in the motel not having electricity. The staff knew that they would not have power prior to our arrival yet made no attempt to let us know. Once we got there they said the had water but no electricity. They left out of course that the water would not be warm for showers. The whole manner on how we were treated was completely unacceptable. Never once did they offer to return our money or discount for the inconvenience. Complete lack of customer service. All I got from the manager was that we should have bought trip insurance. All that being said the rooms were very clean and well kept.

Second floor rooms had windows opening to the boardwalk below with the shops and restaurants. With no A/C and above average temperatures it was tough to sleep with all the people and highway noise. The long daylight didn't help either. I would still stay again though.

The Rainbow Village was located just outside the Denali Park entrance, so the location was great. There were several places to eat nearby which was a plus. The room was nice and had a kitchen. The biggest drawback is the room was on the second floor, and there is no elevator. I didn't notice this until after I made the reservation, and then other options were not workable. So heads up to seniors that hauling luggage up stairs can be a real problem. They also had odd rules about bringing any fish into the room. I can understand odor issues, but never encountered any rules like this before.

The cleaning were very efficient and kind. But the office staff were very unkind, the TV never worked, coffee maker was fickle, and the worst was, they called me after we left accusing me of stealing their hair dryer. My hair is very short and curly and haven’t seen any styling procedures in years!!! Not sure why they were so very unprofessional.

The pillows were very flat. The shower was wonderful. Internet connection was fast. Convenient location within walking distance of decent food. We had a room looking over the mountains. Don't get a rear view unless you like dirty parking lots. This room served it's purpose for the price. We didn't spend much time there.
