“The welcome was amazing, the hotel is the home of the owner who makes a point of greeting his guests. It is a Victorian building of immense character in a stunning position on top of a headland and next to Tintagel Castle. The views are incredible. The room was spacious and comfortable with open sea views. The dining room is majestic and the saloon is comfortable victorian splender. Finally the staff were simply excellent. We had a wonderful experience! Highly recommended!”

“We enjoyed the Hotel and its amenities eg indoor pool, jacuzzi, wet and dry sauna plus the spa. I had a massage and one of the best at a hotel in the UK. The room was comfortable and bathroom a good size. However, the bedroom window with views of the sea was small, so disappointing but will upgrade next time as the views are so worth it! The location of the hotel is ideal for using the train and access to the lovely sandy beach. Walking to the centre of the town is about 10 mins and easy but……

“I spent 3 nights for work, the location is amazing, the hotel is old but in a good condition and clean The staff were terrible, the lady who did the check in was not bad, but others were not friendly at all when I go in or out saying hi they either do not answer back or just a cold hi in return The lady who did the check out was very bad ,I came and said : good morning I want to check out,, she didn’t look at my face, didn’t say good morning, jut : room number? Said:103 , she( didn’t look at……

“We had booked two rooms at this hotel. The one we stayed in had a really overpowering sewage smell coming from the bathroom, which would be ‘covered up’ with a lot of air fresheners after house cleaning. I complained about it to staff and nothing was changed, with staff not mentioning it again. The other room was fine, and, besides the smell, both rooms were clean and very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was good, though the complimentary breakfast has very few options (they really want……

“Staff in the restaurant/spa bar/spa were really helpful and pleasant. The indoor pool was great. Sadly we didn't get to use the outdoor pool as it rained but it did look very nice. View from our room was lovely too. We booked breakfast on one day but found it too much after dinner the previous night. We ate at taste of Cornwall one night. The food was very good but the room was very dark and the music stopped a couple of times and nobody around to turn it back on, so lacked a nice ambience.”

“Property well kept. Bedroom all good with a mini bar with soft drinks included. Breakfast and dinner good. Only grip was the bar, presentation of drinks poor, and staff need more training. More staff training required.”
