Truro Cathedral Tours

This is not really a 4 star hotel, more like a 3 star with a swimming pool and view! Accommodation lacking in parking spaces, so if none available, you are forced to park on the main road! You will be told it’s free to park there, but at 7.30 am on the day of our departure, we witnessed four traffic wardens booking numerous vehicles! Breakfast is mediocre, very limited choice on the continental section, no meats, cheeses! Hot selections are poor quality products, similar to what you would get in a ‘premier inn’! We booked for an early breakfast as we had an early flight. When we were eventually allowed in, it was pretty obvious they weren’t prepared! No hot selections, staff walking in with boxes of yoghurts, no butters/jams/marmalade etc! This meant we forced to hurry to get away in good time! At a cost of £200 per night, we expected a higher level of service/food quality and comfort. For our next stay in Newquay, we will be looking for a different place to stay? Just to add, we don’t usually do reviews, but on this occasion we felt we had to voice our opinions as we were disappointed with our experience at the Esplanade Hotel.
