"We are doing the full circle of Island and this hotel was the fourth hotel and I can confidently say that this hotel is the best. This hotel is truly 4.5 star hotel. The front desk staff were very courteous and helpful. The room was well lit and had power plugs next to bed for convenient overnight charging of our iPhones. The shower was nice with good drainage but I wish they had shower door. It splashed water all over bathroom floor without the door. The highlight of our stay was dining experience. The breakfast was excellent and staff worked hard and all of them very courteous. The dinner staff were the best. They were all kind and friendly. We stayed at this hotel 3 days and have no complaints. Highly recommended."

"We had a room with enclosed balcony and view to the lake. We loved the room. The room was modern design with power plugs next to bed for easy overnight charging of our iPhone. The room was well lit and champagne, wine, soda all included. The front staff seem very busy doing kitchen work as dual duty but tried hard to serve the guests as soon as possible. They were courteous and friendly. The path to the room is through narrow mulched walkway so it’s hard to roll our luggages. The staff was kind enough to bring out the golf cart to carry our luggages directly to our room. The included breakfast buffet was nothing to brag about no scrambled eggs nor sausage and bacon but there were enough selections. I would highly recommend this place. I really wish we could have stayed more than a day."

"The room was clean with a nice view of the coastal area with grazing sheep just outside. The food at the restaurant was top notch and locally sourced. The outside of the guesthouse was eclectic with a main check in and housing area with a connected dining area, and a long building with several rooms as well as some newer looking separate cabins. We stayed in the long building in a triple that had 3 twin beds. The room was clean and everything worked well. The people that worked there were extremely courteous, helpful and friendly. I would stay there again. I thought that it was a value considering the prices that rooms on this part of Iceland go for."
