On the minus side, there is no noise insulation in the room at all, you will get very loud environmental noises leech into the room from outside all day and night. Luckily I brought earplugs so I wasn't bothered that much. There was a good amount of spider webs around the A/C and one live but small roach on the towel rack. Overall it was a pleasant stay, providing great value in a friendly atmosphere, and I recommend it. This hotel was near spotless. My only problem was the room window opened to a concrete wall, a sad thing when Kandy has so many wonderful views. The staff was wonderful and the Tables restaurant upstairs did have great atmosphere with wonderful views.
