"Not the greatest place to stay at in Kyoto.
- The closest rail station (Fushimi) is about a 15-20 minute walk.
- The hotel room is dirty. We got non-smoking and they delivered on that (no smell). But the carpet in our room had clear dirty spots and so did the ceiling.
- Standard washroom amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body soap etc
- Can't refuse room service it seems

"This hotel has great rooms for cheap prices. Our room had a complication but the hotel staff upgraded our room no questions asked and were very apologetic for the issue. 4 stars. I'd give it 5 stars if there wasn't an issue with the original room, but how the staff reacted to the issue was exceptional!"

"Fushimi Ohana is a traditional Japanese house that is located in a quiet neighborhood. We LOVE the design of it. Staying there is like leading a local Japanese's life, which is quite nice. The people in the neighborhood seem quite nice.
The facilities are good and the place is clean. The self check-in provided us with good flexibility and was clearly instructed. It could be a little cold in winter though as the heaters are not quite enough for the big house. But it is an interesting...
