Captain's Quarters

Unplug from the craziness of the world with a stay in Bowers Beach. This 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath home can sleep up to 12 people per stay. 2,288 sqft of indoor space and two large decks will give your group plenty of space to relax during your visit. 360 degree water views allow for superb sunrise and sunsets. This home includes 1 queen bed, 3 full beds, and a set of twin bunkbeds. Large couch in the living room can fit an additional two folks comfortably. This home is within a 400' walk to the beach entrance, allowing for simple trips back and forth throughout your stay. House comes equipped with a Charcoal grill, beach chairs, and a few bikes to ride around town. Bowers is home to two bar/restaurants, a park/playground, several charter and party boats, as well as the Bowers maritime museum. 15 minute drive to Dover, the racetrack, Delaware Turf Sports Complex. 30 Minutes to dogfish head brewery, and 40 minutes to Rehoboth, Lewes and Dewey. Whether you stay in town or explore the local area, you will enjoy your stay at the Captain's Quarters.

This house is a really nice hidden gem in a hidden gem town. The house is equipped with all that you need to have a great time on vacation. Bikes, beach chairs, corn hole, kids sand toys, well stocked kitchen. This place is a gem!

Weekend Stay

Myself and a group of college teammates stayed here for a weekend tournament and it was absolutely perfect for us. The house was spacious, clean and well kept. The beds were also super comfortable which was great for us. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we would love to come again!

Quiet beach area

Was nice for our family - small children, small beach, very close - a lot of chairs and things to do. Not crowded for holiday weekend. a lot of open area for big family to hang out together.

Captains Quarters

We had a wonderful time at the Captains Quarters. The house was as advertised and very clean. Its location was central to our activities. JP Wharf restaurant was very close (walking distance) and food there was excellent. We highly recommend this VRBO.

Great location!

We stayed in Bowers for a lacrosse tournament at DE Turf Fields; I recommend it - very convenient! The house and location made it more like a vacation than a tournament weekend 🙂. Great access to the water. The property manager was very responsive and accommodating!

Great place first for a family trip

The Captain’s Quarters afforded us a wonderful beach trip. Plenty of room for everyone and more than enough bathrooms. I’ll miss master bath! The house was conveniently located close to the beach. The kids had a great time in the Bay.

Great beach house

We stayed at this beach house for a short weekend in February. It was a beautiful house with everything you need for a large family. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. And only one block to the beach! Mattresses were comfortable and brand new.

Great location and house

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at this great home! It was steps to the beach and their recommendation for JP’s was also great. The beds were super comfortable. Lovely home with great communication from the owner! Only negative was the taste/ smell of the water but we just had bottled water and it wasn’t a problem at all.

Lovely Family Vacation

We stayed at this property to be close to family for the Thanksgiving holiday. The owner did a great job communicating and shared helpful resources about the area. The home lived up to all expectations. It was clean and well kept. We loved being able to walk down the street to the beach, which was beautiful even during the off season.

Family Attending a Funeral from Miami Florida
