Road A515 in and out of Ashbourne was noisy with hgv’s.
Definitely stay again and highly recommend.

"The Strutt arms was a great experience. The owners were very friendly and helpful. There is an Indian restaurant on site ,and also have other foods .
The standard double room was small ,but was very comfortable, it had a 37 inch television on the wall ,a portable fan,a comfy king-size bed and tea and coffee ,hot chocolate and biscuits if you feel peckish, and a complimentary jug of ice cold water as well. Internet access very good in the accommodation. Bus stop right outside if you want to explore around the area. And some lovely scenic walks close by.
Also the breakfast in the morning was continental or full English,but the staff do cater for your needs , it was a very nice breakfast. All in all a fantastic stay at The Strutt arms."
"My husband and I came here for an overnight stay to celebrate my birthday.
We were greeted by Fiona the receptionist who was so welcoming and very friendly.
She was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble in asking for anything.
We loved our room which was spacious, clean and very cozy!
We both had a good nights sleep too.
We are both vegan and had a lovely vegan breakfast that was hot, fresh and delicious!
Service was friendly and quick too.
Thank you so much to the lovely lady who served us.
Overall we both enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel.

"Beautiful place. Yard/garden was a little small but adequate and fact there was a BBQ was great addition. Kitchen again a bit small but it was good enough for what we needed! Two lounges, bigger, plenty of space. And the two bedroom sizes were fantastic. Bit of road noise but we slept really well and was super quiet overnight. Awesome shower! The water pressure was fantastic. We had everything we needed and more. Parking just outside and there was a short walk to Belper mill and gardens next to river. Excellent comms from owners. Very happy and would return."
