Jim is such a helpful, friendly and welcoming host, really knowledgable about the local area and he makes sure you are comfortable! The room is spacious, comfortable and clean with everything you need. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful! Appin House is a great location. Just off a main bus route served by many buses so you aren’t waiting more than a couple of minutes, parking is available if you’re driving on the safe street and the centre of Edinburgh is in walking distance if you are happy to walk about mile and a half ish - so lots of options to suit all needs! The Appin House is fantastic, beautifully appointed and so inviting and comfortable. James went out of his way to make sure my stay was perfect and it was. I highly recommend this beautiful B&B. It is in the perfect location, in a beautiful residential area, just a few minutes from the center of the city, and the tram stop just one block away.
