"The house that Sue provides guarantees a successful holiday. It is very functional. Every thing you take out of your suitcase, finds its convenient place in wardrobes, cupboards, on shelves, in drawers, on hangers, etc. The living room and terrace really gives you plenty of space to relax. The super-equipped kitchen gives you a lot of independence in meal planning. Sue, the owner of the flat, is an exceptionally friendly person. She gave us a quick answer to every question. Very close to the house the ferry connection towards Bergen. I would recommend this place without hesitation."

"I loved my stay in Montana and I can see why it was voted as Norway’s best hostel. The highlight for me was the activities organised by the great team of volunteers. I was lucky to be there on a Sunday so joined the hike to Baunehytten - beautiful scenery, lake swimming and coffee and waffles. In terms of practicalities, the hostel is a 20 min bus trip from the bus station (which is very close to the train station). Take bus 12 and you can buy a ticket (49) on board. It is worth buying the 24 hr bus pass if you are likely to do 3 trips in a 24 hr period. The hostel is very clean and extremely it well equipped. The kitchen has everything you would need and there’s a supermarket just along the road - it is closed on Sundays like others in Norway. The breakfast was generous and varied. There is a great sunset viewing area and I recommend going to the 5.30pm coffee/tea and biscuits with the volunteers. Thank you for a fantastic time! "

"Hotel is located right on the fjord with amazing views of the fjord and glacier. The room was quite adequate for our stay, had a patio door to the outside which was nice. The breakfast was very nice with good selection. A disappointment was being asked to pay for an extra pillow for my daughter who had broken her collar bone and needed some additional support while sleeping. The area is absolutely gorgeous and idyllic. "

"This was a wonderful spot, right at the water. We stayed in a small cozy cabin, there were other people camping there. It was quiet and cozy."
