“Please be aware that you need to upload a passport online to a third party company for every person over 16 that is staying at the property. We were not aware of this until after the free cancellation period was over. There is no mention in the listing or confirmation that the passport would be the only document accepted. We were uncomfortable doing this with all the online identity theft that is prevalent today. The communication with the property was poor. We messaged several times through……

“Lovely hosts. The cottage was clean, comfortable and very well equipped, don’t worry if you’ve forgotten anything! Has been decorated since photographs were taken so now more country cottage than Scandinavian. Terrace and outside of property very dusty but it is a farm yard and the weather was extremely hot. “Host cancelled a few hours before check in, after we had already travelled to the location. Absolutely disgusting treatment, they claimed to have double booked the property but how is that possible to only discover that on the day of check in? Owner should be banned from Vrbo”

“In a great central location, plenty shops, places to eat, pubs all around and very quick walk to the coast which was beautiful, didn’t realise Folkestone was so nice! Outside building looked very nice, access lobby area clean and inviting. Great shower! (good water pressure!)Apartment was compact but had everything needed. Was a hot weekend so needed to open the windows overnight, could hear people enjoying themselves which wasn’t a problem for us. Some parts of the apartment were tired but……

“A pleasant spacious ground floor flat with parking right outside in a quiet location . Very comfortable lounge, lovely new walk-in shower. Kitchen a bit basic. Would have preferred a summer weight duvet instead of 13.5 tog winter one provided in height of summer! However, happy to stay there again.”

“Me and my Partner stayed at Lookerer Shepards hut for two nights! Kristina and her family have the most beautiful land filled with sheep, lambs, cows and chickens, incredible views of Kent’s country side. The shepherds hut was well equipped everything you need and also items which makes the stay feel home from home. As a sheep lover this was the most perfect weekend, watching sunsets with a book and waking up in the morning looking out to a crowd of sheep and little lambs was truly magical.……

“A wonderful cosy, quirky cottage, deep in the Kent countryside. Ideal location for walking dog owners, a couple looking for a romantic break or friends. Perfect for a short winter break. Lovely log burner. Relaxing and peaceful. A word of warning, very steep stairs. Felt like we were on a boat at times as the floors upstairs slope so much. This place has real character though and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, seeing the New Year in. Highly recommend.”

“Room was very clean but this third party check in is for the birds. Foreign country / no available internet to look up info. Thanks to a lovely shop owner we were able to contact the host. He said he didn’t receive my info but I had sent it. What happened - who knows. So I had to resend it with the help of our wonderful shop owner friend! More to the story but I just want to forget the awful experience!”
