The staff was efficient and helpful. The lobby was updated modern decor and it was clean. The complimentary breakfast was great and served very early. As for the room, our first room was missing the top lock latch and although room was clean it didn't smell clean. We requested a second room and they switched us without any problems. The second room was better because it was a view to the pool area and not the parking lot from the first room. (The pool inside and outside were great and clean with seating at both areas.) As for the room, it was extremely clean, but the furnishings were completely outdated. The curtains were not in good condition. Thankfully I had safety pins and used them to hold up the curtains where they were broken from the frame therefore not closing completely until I was able to pin them. Curtains were a must because your window opens to the main enclosed hallway. The room came with a mini frig which was very helpful. The sink was outside the main bathroom which allowed us to get ready with plenty of room.

The service was excellent, but the front desk agents are obviously worn thin, as they were almost always busy doing other tasks when we went to the front desk. The room was fine, but had a strong sour smell to it that was off-putting. The bed was incredibly comfortable, though. I also noticed this morning that the outdoor pool area still had cans and glasses from the previous night strewn around and that the breakfast trays were being reused without cleaning. Again, it seemed as though not enough staff were there to keep things running smoothly at breakfast. Finally, I was sad to see plastic cutlery and styrofoam dishes being used in the continental breakfast area. At least get biodegradable single-use dishes! It was awful to see so much waste. I want to reiterate that the service was great. I suspect many of these issues are the results of ownership trying to save money, and I think that with more care this hotel could be great.

AC didnt work , the rooms stunk of Cigarettes and although the desk clerk tried they could not find a solution. The thermostat was set to cool at 50 deg F but the room temperature was 78deg F. The rooms reeked of cigarette and the bathroom was not clean. This property was not well kept or clean. I left and asked for a refund as of today it has not happened so seeing I did not use the service I will dispute this with the CC issuer if the refund does not happen by Monday evening. I would NOT stay at this hotel if you are in Fargo.

The staff were excellent, so friendly and helpful, we were allowed to check in 2 hours before the official check in time which was so convenient for us. I witnessed the front desk staff making similar accommodations for others as well, very impressive. Also, loved the outdoor pool and the courtyard!! Will definitely stay there again!
