The Neighborhood:
Felton, nestled in the heart of the Santa Cruz Mountains, is a charming and rustic town with a rich history and natural beauty. Home to the iconic Roaring Camp Railroads, it's a place where the past meets the present. The lush landscapes of Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park invite hiking, camping, and picnicking among ancient redwoods. Felton's small downtown area exudes a friendly, small-town ambiance with unique shops, local eateries, and a strong sense of community. For those seeking a peaceful retreat with easy access to nature, historic sites, and a warm community, Felton is the perfect destination.

This is not a good place for gatherings or parties so please keep that in mind when booking this home. We are very respectful of our neighbors and will not tolerate loud noise past curfew and additional guests at the property.

- We have landscapers, pest service, and other property maintenance done on a weekly basis. You may see or hear these service professionals during your stay as they let themselves into the backyard to service as needed. Please be sure to ask about this before booking if you think it might be an issue for you.
- The exterior of this home is monitored by 24/7 surveillance recording devices for safety.
- We are required to stick to our cancellation policy and we suggest adding trip insurance for any last minute issues that may impact your travel (Weather, Illness, etc). We are not able to cancel, move or refund bookings that do not fall in our cancellation policy for any reason.

Sweet Cabin
The cabin was sweet and cozy. All the necessary items were there. Just know that there is no central heat. Space heaters are used to warm the place up. As an interior design expert, I really appreciated the decorative touches. It is perfectly located for our needs when visiting the area.

Thanksgiving Holiday
Very cute and cozy cabin in the redwoods. The family had a great time! We loved all the great outdoor activities to do in Felton and Santa Cruz. Overall rating was a 4 because we let them know there was 4 adults coming, however there were only two sets of towels and no bedding for the pull out bed. Bit of an inconvenience.

I wanted to love this rental, but unfortunately, it’s much more rustic in real life than the pictures show. There are no screens on the windows, and no a/c, so if you want any circulation in the house, you have to open the windows and deal with the elements (gnats, flies, mosquitos, spiders). All were present inside the cabin, with the windows closed even! Also there is no access to an alternate entrance to get inside, other than the 3 flights of steep stairs. I didn’t know this when I booked, and have mobility issues - wasn’t ever able to get my suitcase inside. There is an entrance near the front door at the top of the hill, they just won’t give you access to it. Overall, paid $600 in fees for a one nights stay before the property managers allowed me to cancel (which I was appreciative of at least). Vrbo won’t reimburse their fees and the property managers only reimbursed a portion, after telling me I’d get a full refund. Such a nightmare - no one doing right by guests these days :(
