"Il Santavenere is definitely a 10/10 experience. From the moment you arrive you are in a true oasis - just what you want from a break by the sea. The staff are all (and I mean all) friendly, personable and helpful. The rooms are luxurious, including the beds and washrooms, without being overly showy. The views overlooking the sea are stunning. Maratea itself is definitely a nice little town and Il Santavenere is a hidden gem in Basilicata. We're already planning our next trip back and can't wait...

"When I travel, I look for a reasonable price and a quiet place, preferably near to the train station. All I really need is a place to lay my head and recharge my existence a bit. Da Zio Pino fit the bill. I took a walk up the the Centro Storico (about 45-50 minutes walking), but enjoyed my dinner nearby the hotel, which is close to the sea and a few dining areas. "Wonderful place in a great location. The view across the infinity pool down to the sea is breathtaking. The house is big and well equipped. Lovely touches and well looked after. The Maratea coast is one of the most beautiful ones in Italy. We would definitely visit again."
