Nice for a bolt hole

Felt the food wasn’t up to 4 star standard as the food was either over or under cooked

Great location not so great a hotel

Posted Sep 20, 2017
Rooms renovated but no mirror in bedroom, not enough drawer space or hangers. Water runs out of shower onto toilet floor. Poor breakfast choice ran out of cooked food before breakfast was over. Coffee terrible. Sun lounger could do with being replaced.

Good location, town centre and beaches

Posted May 17, 2017
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Room furnishings, general condition of the hotel. A lift system that can cope with the number of guests the hotel can accommodate.
Location: Good location, adjacent to beaches and seafront, and the town centre is only a few minutes walk away
The hotel is very dated and in need of much tender love and care. It is also dated in that it is required to rent a key at 3 euros per night plus a 10 euro deposit for a key for the room safe. Likewise with wifi, it is only available for free in the hotel lobby, if you want it in your room, it is 20 euros per week. The room furnishings were also very dated and basic. The lift system does not cope with the number of guests.

Good hotel overall but evening food average.

Lovely full Seaview room on floor 9. The room was well looked after and lovely and clean. Serviced each day. It had a fridge but as seems usual in Spain, no tea/ coffee facilities. Impressed with the hotel and area. Breakfast was good but dinner at night below expectation.

Almost an excellent hotel

Posted Nov 5, 2016
In general a good hotel, in an good position by the sea, close enough to Fuengirola to walk to, but far enough from the noise at night. It is good that the room has double doors to stop corridor noise at night. The food is also good. They do seem to be trying to save a bit of money with supplying the Shower Gel in small bags that are impossible to rip open. It is best to buy your own shower gel before arriving at the hotel. The toilet was badly designed for keeping clean. There is only one power socket in the room a long way from the bed.

Nice hotel, shame about the restaurants and bar.

Posted Nov 15, 2015
Pros: Friendly (if not overwhelmingly professional) reception staff. Charming room maids. Clean, comfortable rooms and public areas.
Cons: Catering (see above).
Location: Not much adjacent to the hotel, at least in November, but the lively downtown area is only 15 minutes' walk away. The sandy beach is next door.
This is a pleasant, clean, comfortable hotel. My main beef is with the catering: not the quality of the food, which is about average for holiday hotels in Spain, but the lack of free tables at peak times. There are in fact two restaurants, one used only for breakfast and one used only for lunch and dinner. When the hotel is full, why can't they open both at breakfast and dinner? Other large hotels do it. The bar serves only one brand of beer: Cruzcampo on draft and in bottles. Even the barman on duty when I tried it (I won't mention his name) admitted it is terrible. Fortunately, the Seaside Bar over the road is ideally situated for a pre-dinner drink.
