Tommy at Simple Rewards Inn is exactly the person you want to see behind the desk at the end of a long day on Route 66. He was smiling, kind and very helpful, and his attitude was how the entire building felt. Homey, safe, calm, and just right. Simple but pretty room, well-equipped, CLEAN and COMFORTABLE! I can’t stress that enough: the cleanliness was exactly what I needed to see, and the beds were easy to sleep on. The free breakfast the next morning is the best I’ve experienced in my 10 days on The Mother Road, hands down. Fresh, hot and/or cold, prepared or make-your-own; cereal, waffles, eggs, biscuits & gravy, sausage, yogurt, toast, oatmeal, fruit, salsa, yogurt…just Outstanding! The young woman at the front desk in the morning is also kind and efficient, and I regret not getting her name. She works hard! If I have any complaint, it’s just that the pillows are indeed lumpy and overly firm. We had blanket rolls we used instead; problem solved! I HIGHLY recommend this Inn for travelers, but being used to train noises is a plus!
