We had a great time until the last day! We saw that the health inspectors came that day and left papers in the common area reading that there were mice in the kitchen! Gross.

Nice quiet area, close to attractions. Property is in good condition. Didn’t like that despite requesting a non-smoking room, we were assigned a room that had previously been heavily smoked in and then chemically treated. Apart from wasting our time in having to go back to the desk to request reassignment, that felt disrespectful of my request.

There was no clarity regarding some item being complementary. Some basic item like a small bottle of water should be present in the room when guest arrives. Apart from this, everything else was great.

The free breakfast was good with a decent variety if you are staying several days. The hotel had a bad odor as soon as you walked in, we thought this might be just a onetime thing but each time we went out for the day and came back the smell would hit you in the face as soon as the doors opened. The Gym doesn't have much equipment it's okay if you just want to use a treadmill or stepper. The pool is very small and in the basement which isn't very inviting nor was it as large as it looks on the website pictures. The rooms were clean but outdated, we did receive clean towels and the beds were made up daily. We did try to find another hotel to move to as the odor each time we entered was so overwhelming but unfortunately there were quite a few conferences in town and there was nothing available in the downtown area and we did not have a car to get around. As a FYI it is more on the edge of downtown and the walking from the harbor front to the hotel are straight downhill or uphill very steep and not recommended for those that are not in good physical shape and plan to walk everywhere.
