Best place in town
What can I say…. my girls will remember there stay here for decades to come, we had daily visits by Kangaroos, Kookaburra’s, Cockatoo’s and an old Magpie. Then we had early dusk visits by 2 foxes and a Deer.. At night we watched Netflix whilst roasting marshmallows by the fireplace and mused amongst ourselves how fine life is here. To top it all off a few Em’s dropped by the last morning of our stay when the Kookaburra (3), the Magpie and a few cockatoo’s sat on the front porch and chatted to my youngest daughter whilst she had breakfast. (No we didn't feed them). All up fantastic place to stay! Cheers Andy and Schnelle

Soooo impressed
Restful with wildlife on doorstep, for a group of people that can readily develop allergies there were none ! Spacious, quiet and so comfy ! Have already booked another visit. Age group range was 13 to 73 and we all loved it.

Perfectly located, comfortable base in the Grampians
We stayed in the property for four nights and loved the location (about 50m from the centre of Halls Gap) and the comfort of the property. Fire pit in the back garden was perfect for evening family gathering in company of kangaroos and the wildlife. Property was well-equipped with all the usual tea and coffee but also little extras like marshmallows for toasting at the fire pit. Host Jennifer was totally helpful and attentive. We'd love to return on our next Grampians visit!

Paradise in Town Centre
We loved the old holiday house with its rustic charm, surrounded by nature and wildlife but still in close proximity to the shops. We started the days having coffee outside with the birds, watching the rising sun light up the distant rock faces and we drank Margherita’s watching the sun set with our menagerie of wildlife. Absolute bliss if you can get past the quirks of a well maintained and well supplied, clean , old, rustic property with oodles of living space and charm. Will definitely book again. I miss it already.

Manna from Heaven
Wonderful stay in this roomy atmospheric cottage. Excellent facilities. No need to visit Halls Gap zoo as the backyard is a zoo. Saw two huge antlered deer just outside the laundry window at 5am one morning. Was that dream or reality? Shocked when I heard about the devastating fire that passed through Pomonal just days after we drove through the town. Strength and hope. I feel like going straight back and hiking the mountains again. Won't be long before I do.

Lovely!
We had such a lovely stay. The home was so beautiful. A gorgeous location and we loved the wildlife all around us! Everything was clean and comfortable. So much to do as well in terms of books, games, toys etc. Highly recommend! :)

Great weekend getaway
We had a lovely stay at this fantastic location in Halls Gap. House was clean and tidy and has loads of charm. Heaps of games and books which was great for the kids. The wildlife and fireplace in the backyard were a hit with the family. Toasting marshmallows while watching the kangaroos and birds.

Extremely pleasant stay
The Manna House was a wonderful place to stay. We really enjoyed the peaceful setting complete with wild kangaroos and deer. The home has everything you could wish for with wood supplied for the fireplace, a really beautiful lounge and bedroom area and a full kitchen. The bathroom even had a claw foot bath. The undercover carport parking was really appreciated. The ambience of this property is very special. We have stayed in a lot of holiday homes but this rates among the best. We very much enjoyed our time here and would be very happy to stay again. Halls Gap Zoo nearby is also well worth a visit if you are in the area. Thanks to host Julie for a fabulous stay.

Secluded haven
Walking distance from town for morning coffee. Wonderful for overseas visitors that want to see kangaroos lounging metres from the back door and well-behaved cockies on the balcony in the morning House was well equiped for families and couples, comfortable and clean. Highly recommend.

Loved our stay.
Such a warm and cosy place close to town and with so much wildlife around. Was so relaxing sitting by the fire watching the kangaroos out the big windows. We will definitely be back and for longer next time.

Great Getaway Mini Break
Having to escape for a couple of nights after surgery "The Manna House" was just what we needed. Close enough to town for a slow stroll and everything at hand at the accommodation. The Manna House was fabulous, everything provided, very comfy and great atmosphere. Open fire at night, nothing like that. Even enjoyed the outdoor fire pit under an umbrella watching the mob of kangaroos who entertained us. The wildlife were so close. The kookaburras had me laughing at their chorus, they really do know how to belly laugh. Halls Gap is a great place to relax and hang out with nature. A place we enjoy mini breaks to recharge and this case recuperate. Instructed to do nothing, nothing we did except read, knit and watch the fires.

The Manna house was wonderful!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the manna house! Jennifer has thought of everything that you could possibly need, it was wonderful! There were plenty of games to keep our three year old grand daughter occupied, the grounds were extensive and filled with wildlife! The firepit was a highlight for us, and there was more than enough wood to keep the fires going, both inside and out! We loved the extras such as the marshmallows, popcorn and hot chocolate and the good quality shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The bed was really comfy which is very important to us! We will definitely be back!

Idyllic stay with lots of furry visitors
We adored our stay in this property, and were visited by kangaroos, deer, kookaburras, lorikeets and cockatoos. The location is amazing, set on a private block but close to town and lots of walks. We will be back.

House to Revive and Relax In
The house is centrally located in town and was warm and inviting when we 1st arrived. After a day of bushwalking the streaming hot water in the shower or the deep bath were great for sore limbs. A great place for couples or with 2 young children, with plenty of books, games and DVD's to choose from. Our host was easily accessible whenever we had questions. I would stay here again.

Nature's Haven
This property is amazing. An old style cottage with large rooms and country styling. Extremely well equipped, generous quantities of tea, coffee etc., heaps of games and books. Airconditioned or a very effective fireplace, whatever the weather. To top it off, nature comes calling- kangaroos, deer, kookaburras, sulphur crested cockatoos, magpies and blue wrens, to name a few.

Just amazing!
A beautiful property in the best spot ever. The property is very well equipped. Plenty of activities for kids and adults, books, board games, library of DVDs, colouring books and more. The kitchen has got absolutely everything. Outside, big camp-fire place, bbq, table tennis and wonderful garden, where all possible Grampians' wildlife comes ( kangaroos, all sorts of birds, deers and echidnas). Highly recommended place! The property has also 3 air-conditioned bungalows which means, you can come with a whole big family.

Jennifer was excellent at responding to queries and very approachable. The house had excellent aircon on some very hot days and no shortage of activities to do indoors to escape the heat. The backyard was a mini zoo where we saw kangaroos, deer, emus and so many birds. We loved our stay

Great stay
It was a real pleasure to stay at the Manna House. The location is great and within a few minute walk from hiking tracks, shops and restaurants. The kitchen in the house is stocked with a great variety of cooking utensils as well as crockery and cutlery. Jennifer, the host, was always available within minutes to answer any questions we had. A great stay with a great host.

Great accommodation surrounded by nature
A wonderful house, full of so many things that would keep the whole family happy. Everything that you could possibly need and more. And the setting was beautiful, surrounded by nature and with a view of the Grampians right there behind the house. Loved sitting around the fire pit at night. Beautiful house great location.
Firstly 5 stars for everything. This Property would have to be one of the best and cleanest holiday places we have ever stayed in. Thank you so much Jennifer for being the perfect host and allowing us to enjoy your beautiful house. The views outside were breathtakingly beautiful with a lovely garden with bush and mountain views out the back. Situated on a large block and completely private the house is a great place to escape to and only a few minutes stroll into town. Charming and cosy with everything we needed to stay in and cook and sit by the fire enjoying a nice glass of red wine. Tastefully decorated with quality furnishings and a lovely bath to soak in after a days sightseeing and walks. The beds were very comfortable and cosy. Jennifer has thought of everything and a lot of love has been put into this beautiful house. The kangaroos and deer were a welcome sight during the day and evenings and would make themselves at home grazing on the property. The birds were plentiful and had the occasional visits from the cockatoos and kookaburras. We enjoyed our stay so much and were so sorry to leave. We will definitely return and hope to stay longer next time and will be recommending this lovely house to all our friends.

Halls Gap - family getaway.
Great family get away for hiking, relaxing, roasting marshmallows in outdoor fire pit, toys and games for kids, and table tennis in the carport. Kangaroos, Magpies and Cockatoos in the backyard! If you have a small car drive to the right of entrance to avoid a pothole. A very comfortable stay!

Awesome location!
Jennifer’s house is delightful. Gorgeous setting. So close to everything but off the road so you don’t get the noise. Except the early morning kookaburras of course 😊. Communication was excellent. The house was very well equipped and would be perfect for a family with a couple of kids.

Excellent property - excellent location
We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay in the Manna House. The spacious house was very comfortable and contained everything we needed. Within easy walking distance of the township it still has a rustic feel and kangaroos can often be seen grazing from the lounge and kitchen. We will definitely would like to return when next in the region and have no hesitation in recommending the Manna house to anyone looking for outstanding accommodation in The Grampians.

We had a really lovely stay here. The accommodation is well located just a short stroll into Hall's Gap village. We had plenty of space and the home is well appointed and very comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the bathrooms were great with plenty of toiletries. The kitchen had everything we needed and the outdoor area was delightful with plenty of birdlife and kangaroos around. Although we didn't use it there was a great fire pit area near the home. The home was warm even on a couple of very cold nights. All in all a delightful place to stay with a lovely atmosphere.

Best location in Halls Gap
Loved the location and the house had everything we could have needed. The open fireplace was wonderful and the house was warm. Seeing the kangaroos, cockatoos, magpies, and kookaburras every day was lovely. Also a pair of enormous deer! And some ducks. Had a great holiday.
