Weekend getaway

This property was everything we epected it to be. We absolutley lived the retro/vintage decor. It was so peaceful and quiet, exactly what we needed!!

Perfect Cozy Arrangement for Our Stay

My partner and I enjoyed our stay here in Hanover, IL. We loved being able to look out to the Apple River and watch the birds in the mornings. The space was perfect for us. The bed and living area was very cozy, the bathroom met our needs, and the kitchen was great for us to make our breakfast in the morning. Communication with Liz & Shane was easy. They always responded promptly and provided an amazing list of suggestions to meet our needs. The check-in and check-out process was also very easy.We absolutely enjoyed our stay here and definitely recommend for others if they're visiting the area.

Quiet building, fun space.

Great location in a quiet town mid way between Mississippi Palisades State Park and Galena. Great views overlooking the Apple River outside our windows.

Very cozy, “warm”, inviting property. Nicely decorated and well put together. Has everything you need for a nice stay + comfy bed. Hosts were very thoughtful including all the personal items you may have left at home. Extremely quiet and private stay! Hosts were very accommodating and a breeze to work with. Will definitely stay again.

Exactly as Advertised! Great communication

Liz and Shane were great! They gave multiple recommendations for food (Fried Green Tomatoes was delicious) and the recommendation for hiking delivered as well. The place had all the amenities we needed and then some!

Cosy place near the water in a nice neighbourhood

My husband and I stayed at the apartment for 3 nights. It was very cosy, clean and near the center of Hanover. We liked it very much. Liz and Shane were very friendly. Thanks a lot!

Girls Galena Getaway

Perfect place for my best friend to meet me for a girls weekend. Galena was 20 minutes to the north and Savanna was 10 minutes to the south. Loved the proximity to Mississippi Palisades Park as well as kayaking on the Mississippi!

The apartment overlooks the river and was easy to access. Hanover is a quiet town and a little bit off the beaten path, which is what we were looking for. With just a short 20-25 minute drive to Galena, we were in close proximity to restaurants and the shopping area there, as well as some nearby nature areas in Hanover. The hosts were available when we needed them and the apartment had all of the basic amenities we could ask for.

Our get away

We enjoyed our stay! We loved what we called the Best of the Brady Bunch stay : ) Nothing to do with the landlords but there were a couple yelling last night that made us wonder if we should go out. Once we did the yelling stopped. Thank you again!

FWS Training Stay

I attended training at a local FWS refuge. The apartment was only a few miles from the training site and what a great spot! Quiet, Peaceful, Scenic, and a welcome place to unwind. I definitely recommend this spot if you want a small town quiet setting. Waterfall outside of the window doesn’t hurt the vibe. Owners are super responsive and everything was as advertised. John

Amazing little apartment

Everything was 10/10 for my partner and I. The place was amazingly clean. My Gf and I loved the mid century theme. Access was super easy, although a little confusion on my part. But the property owners were quick to respond and help out. I loved the quiet atmosphere of little hanover. Even though we didnt need anything. Every little detail was thought out and supplies were provided. Great places to eat all around and not too far to drive. All in all, we will definitely be staying here again and urge anyone thinking about booking this place, to hurry up and do it. You will not regret.

Cute 2nd floor apt near Galena

We stayed midweek early May before the tourist season starts. There isn’t much going on in Hanover - it’s a very quiet community off the beaten path. The apartment was decorated in a mid-century style with large picture windows that offer a beautiful view of the River. The host thought of everything, 2 charging stations, ample toiletries and extras if you forgot anything. I forgot deodorant. There was also a large vintage suitcase filled with puzzles and games which is a really thoughtful addition. The kitchen was well prepped with anything one might need and we loved the vintage look throughout. One of my favorite rentals ever!

Cute quiet getaway

Really enjoyed the peacefulness in this 'time capsule' apartment. Something different! Very cozy, clean and everything we needed for a weekend away. Easy and scenic drive to Galena. Will share with others!

Anniversary Weekend

We booked this trip for our 2 year anniversary, and it was perfect! Such a cozy and quiet little place to stay, not too far from all of the fun sights nearby in Galena. Very private and secluded, which was the perfect way to flex after being out on the town all day long. Would absolutely recommend staying here and we’d love to come back and stay sometime in the summer!
