"Perfect for a stopover with my 2 children after 8 days in a campervan! The communal lounge area was great, with plenty of entertainment for the children which they loved. Room was a great size, clean, tidy and comfy. We were in the "Stag" room and the only improvement suggestion is, it would benefit from a mirror (ideally a long one) in the main bedroom as there's only the small mirror in the en suite bathroom. Other than that, we loved our 1 night stay. Thanks so much!"

"I had trouble checking in as they didn’t have my booking even though I had already pre-filled in their online checkin form to “ensure a smooth check-in” however they found me a room. Then in the morning when I wanted a shower the electric shower had no hot water I suspect the heating element was broken. I have stayed once before and wasn’t overly impressed but thought I would give it a second visit as it was local to where I needed to be for work and came in on budget for £90. Unfortunately I’ve decided it’s just a hotel I wish to stay at a 3rd time. Plus parking isn’t great as there is room for around 5 cars in their car park and there are probably between 17-20 rooms at the hotel. Although there is on street parking nearby. I can’t comment on the food or drinks as I didn’t try the facilities but the menus are all Meatfree options and I am a meat eater so opted to get food elsewhere."

"Arrived one and a half hours early and asked a bearded guy if there was any chance of getting in to the room, his response was just no. No checking to see what rooms had been done just no! Not a great welcome. However the lady that did everything at breakfast was fantastic so credit to her!"

"Very disappointing. The the room need a global renovation. The wallpaper is peeling off the wall, the bed are squeaky, the mattress tired, the radiator repairs done on the radiator fixation are poor DIY. The shared bathroom is OK, but have mould in the caulk. The deposit has been returned 7 days later. The price is good, I easily accept some quirks, but here it's a lot. Sorry."
